  1. The Wilco one is a lot more reserved, the snare being a lot more tight. Also its the second track, weird. I know what you are saying about it though, but I think the similarity is more in how he pounds on that open string on the acoustic guitar. The lyrics on that are incredible by the way.
  2. amen. I love how that is complimented by the faint organ fill in the background.
  3. Good to see someone else is listening to him on here. Rap is weird to me, because its one of those visceral feelings you get listening to music. I used to not be into rap at all, until people started to make me listen to it, and one day it just clicked in a different way than the rest of music. Some of these guys just have so much to say, its amazing. Also getting into the beat culture kinda made me appreciate it more. Being reading a lot of Kerouac lately, and rap goes well with it.
  4. In the Pavement DVD, Slow Century, there are a bunch of wilco posters in the background of one interview
  5. been writing with my friend Margo May. The production and instruments arent anything exciting yet, but we've just been putting down a lot of ideas so far. www.myspace.com/honeybabetunes
  6. the whole time Billy Bragg kept reminding me of Bob Saget. yeah, and as far as documentaries go, it seemed very contrived. The whole beginning seemed useless to the rest of the documentary, and I dont even understand why they have the interview with Billy's mom, since the documentary is primarily focused on the making of the album, and of course Woody Guthrie. Also lots of cheesy transitions, and camera angles.
  7. I just found this dvd at the video store, and I dont ever remember anyone talking about it on here. Anyone else seen it? Oh, and it was... not good, mostly consisted of Billy Bragg being very british and boring. Although there are some great scenes of Jeff recording, Another Man's Done Wrong, California Stars and some others.

  9. I met Bruce on that book tour a couple years ago. Pre Spiderman 2. Really funny guy.
  10. This book is becoming increasingly difficult to read.
  11. this is be best picture of Natalie Portman that I have EVER seen.
  12. I was wondering if anyone knows what keyboard/effect is used in this song. It sounds really thick with lots of reverb and such, and sounds like hes using a pitch shifter also. Any thoughts?
  13. Guitars: Epiphone Les Paul- I exchanged the stock pick-ups with Lindy Fralin (wow) Amps: Fender Blues Deville (very underrated amp) Effects: Boss tremelo Robert Keeley mod all these mixed at certain levels gets you a very unique vintage sound.
