  1. hey Dave, happy birthday. have a good one.
  2. I thought that was some of the worst dialogue I've ever sat through. so much so, that I guess it distracted me from noticing anything good going on cinematically. things do pick up though, and Kurt Russell's breaking of the 4th wall was awesome.
  3. wow, it was the exact opposite for me. I thought Planet Terror was awesome, from top to bottom. casting Jeff Fahey and Michael Biehn as brothers was genius. the first 20 minutes of Deathproof was incredibly boring, I was ready to walk out. I just wanted those girls (especially Sydney Poitier) to shut up. but I stuck with it, and in the end, it was worth it. although I can't imagine watching it with the missing footage put back in. NW:
  4. no, but it's a great album.
  5. do you mean, "The Night Chicago Died Again"? that's a Minus 5 song, with Scott McCaughey doing the vocals. wilco's never covered the Paper Lace song, "The Night Chicago Died".
  6. you could do one, and then present it to "those who run this place" you gotta be proactive.
  7. you bring this up from time to time, but I don't see you doing anything about it.
  8. the band used to do Immigrant Song, quite a bit. JP, the roadie handled vocals.

  10. yeah, I thought it had something to do with the release of Twin Peaks season 2, on DVD. maybe it does. anyway, happy birthday.
  11. the closest thing to Ghost demos, would probably be the Wilcobook CD. and for Being There, they kept recording over the same tape until they got something they liked. so there wasn't really anything left over that could be considered a demo.
  12. yeah, none of them stand out. they're basically just playing parts as band members, and those who're singing backup, could be anyone.
  13. rehab was in early 2004, so this doesn't really fit in with it. full setlist, courtesy of www.WilcoBase.com Austin City Limits 9/20/2004 1. Muzzle Of Bees 2. Company In My Back 3. 14. wow, that was great. now I kinda feel bad for banging on the window at fox studios and giving Geraldo the finger.
  15. a lot bars/clubs that get forced into closing, always say stuff like that. it almost never happens.
