Very true. I don't think you could make an argument about their musical capabilities. Also that show with Ornette is awesome! I LOVE the space, it sounds as if they are battling it out.

I think jeff more meant the mermaid ave. songs he sings rather then picking and choosing. I won't be suprised if we get them all tonight minus Blood of the lamb and joe dimaggio

why is nobody couting the mermaid ave. songs i dont think One By One, Another Man's done gone, secret of the sea, someday some morning sometime are all that unrealistic. ETA: esp. when you consider they've done at least 12 new ones each night. I won't be surprised if we get these and Lets Not Get Carried Away, The Good Part, Promising, or Family Gardener. And if not oh well; I can't wait to sit down and really listen to all of these.

the break was 15-20 min. i think its the best format and am so glad someone said something. Hopefully they keep the format and the songs and we get more varied sets. They have it down I don't know whats stopping them. I can't imagine they enjoy playing the same 35 or so songs every other night.

Save your cash on petty, I saw him two years ago twice, and beyond awful are the only words that come to mind. Completely scripted stage show; the bonnaroo set was pitiful and then i saw him for free in chicago a week or two later it was just as bad. But that just might be me if you like nostalgia shows id say go. P.S. that must be pretty cool to have a mom and sister with a good taste in music.

Yeah the floor seemed a lot better but my girlfriend wouldn't have been able to see. There were defiantly more people dancing on the floor as opposed to the shoving upstairs. I noticed the moving would always be the same few people.

I hear ya. I was talking specifically about the KT shows and the fall auditorium theatre runs. Even the shows i saw in other cities had much quieter crowds then last night. I guess I'm a bit spoiled to having a more respectful crowd especially at wilco shows. I was kind of surprised that Jeff didn't say anything I remember quiet a few occasions were i've seen jeff get angry at crowds and in turn shut them up. Whatever it had happened its over the music is over was great thats what is important. I hope for everyone else its quieter the next few nights.

Has anyone been at a more crowed show at the riv? I went upstairs to try to find a seat mid way through to find people standing everywhere up stairs. Seemed way oversold. Also When The Roses Bloom again was awesome! Do you think jeff meant they were only gonna play some of Mermaid ave? Maybe he just meant the non billy bragg tunes.
