I really think this was an off cuff remark. It is tottally possible to lower the negative enviormental impact of touring. Its just a matter of how bad the band wants to do it. Look at what Andrew Bird did on his last tour. I don't about Europe but in the US you can buy reknewable engergy credits. You can run the vechiles on bio diseal or some other enivormentally friendly fuel These two things alone would make a huge difference. Plus, I loved the visuals used on their last tour but its not really nessicary all you need is a band and their gear, no fancy lighting rigs or speical e

where did that article come from? ETA: the fact that they are doing the boxsets made to order makes me think they are going to try distributing themselves
-
Yeah but this is them saying they made an album cause they wanted to and they want you to hear it. Rather then divy up the album on itunes where many will just buy the two songs they want its like they are saying here just have the whole thing.

I didn't want to go ranting and raving but you said it so i'll rant. This is what its going to take to change this industry. Bands like Radiohead and Wilco are doing it and personally I think its something to get excited about. Even if you don't like Radiohead they deserve a pat on the back for taking a brave first step. Its gonna take more bands of this size making these kind of moves to actually make a differnce. I'd say Radiohead desrves a giant pat on the back for taking a brave first step.
-
???????? Whats their not to be excited about? THIS IS A HUGE FUCK YOU to the record industry thats been FUCKING YOU over since you bought your first record.
-
So I'd say it looks like Radioheads gonna independant?

how can you say nothing dylan has done since "Time Out of Mind" was as good if you haven't herd the follow up? Its way better then Modern Times; i'd go as far as to call it essential

awful.

I saw him on his last tour and it was awful at times. Lots of new matieral that was just awful (look for the songs "Shes got baggage") at times the show was great at others it was one of the worst shows ive seen. The only good part of the show was John Molo on drums. Def. do not reccommend a fogerty concert. Cheesey would be my review with a capital C.

I don't understand why everyone thinks this is the end oftheband. The girl is probably a bit embarrsed and doesn't feel like going out in public. I'm sure they will be back.
