  1. How kind. Thank you. It certainly keeps me busy! For metadata application, I have been reading my grandfather's handwritten notes that accompanied his negatives and fat fingering it all into the IPTC data fields. I'm also trying to supplement his info with data I'm finding on the interwebs. It's a ton of work, but it certainly has been an enjoyable time and quite the education. Here is the actual homepage, if interested: http://scenesfromthepast.com Anyway, thanks for looking! Scott
  2. Thanks, A-man! I've been working on this for about three years now. I know it isn't the best organized yet, but if I could make it into a full time job I could whip it into shape a lot quicker. Basically, I've somewhere in the range of 50-60K images that I am currently applying metadata (keywords, controlled vocab, IPTC info, etc.). It took my gramps 50 years to amass this collection, so if it takes me a few years to get it all online, that's o.k.). Anyway, check back in because I'm uploading stuff all the time. Thanks for taking a look! dcd
  3. Even another old photo site focusing on Great Lakes maritime history, railroading, etc. anyway, dcd
  4. 4th row, center stage, Page & Plant at the Palace of Auburn Hills, mid-90s. dcd
  5. Good for you! Will this be your first show? Evidently, it is characteristic of software used by a-hole scalpers. Plus, they were getting hammered by people refreshing. Like I said, I got that screen 5 times before I got my tix. Either way, enjoy the show! dcd
  6. I kept getting that screen, too. Ticket Bastard does blow, but sometimes you get lucky. Good luck, I bet you can find some if you keep trying. dcd
  7. Got two, need four. Won't pay a scalper for 'em, though. anyway, dcd

    Woah!

I was there. Wow...how time flies, indeed. That actually feels like a lifetime ago. dcd
  9. I made this with pictures from my collection using Lightroom for the different color filters and the desktop builder in the Faststone Image Viewer (freeware) software. Anyway, dcd
  10. Damn it. I'll be in MI a month too early. dcd
  11. Last week's show on Johnnycash.com Radio was all about the anniversary of the Folsom shows. They post new shows every Wednesday, but they archive on the site as well as on iTunes. Anyway, dcd
  12. Jhamm- Thanks for the great service you've provided to the community over the years! Keep up the good work, my friend. anyway, dcd
  13. Jeff solo accoustic version of "IATTBYH" on 94.7 The Globe's Accoustic Sunrise in D.C. I think it was the version from the Pacific Northwest tracks. anyway, dcd
  14. I thought it was a great show. Cool poster, too. Out of all the Wilco show posters I have, this one is probably the best due to the band's signatures. I'm thinking of framing this one. Plus, Spiders gets me every time. I am going to be SO late for work tomorrow. anyway, dcd
  15. Happy birthday to a fellow Michigander! (Or do we prefer "Michiganian"? I'm so confused about which is P.C.!). anyway, dcd
  16. Of all the days I choose to listen! I haven't listened regularly for months because Drew was away. I was pretty bummed when Mike started talking about the Free Press article this morning. I think Mike needs someone like Drew to play off of, so who knows how long they can last as is? Anyway, dcd
  17. So, I wonder if my boot was wrong- it wasn't NYE- or did they perform the White Album more than once? I'll have to pick that up with my Amazon gift certs I scored on my bday. anyway, dcd
  18. I heard "When the Roses Bloom Again" at the Chipotle in Fairfax Corner today. They followed up with "Golden", so that was a double awesome bonus and good accompaniment for my chicken burrito bol experience. anyway, dcd
  19. I STILL haven't found a good Bibim Bap joint in the NoVa area. I'm going back to Ann Arbor for a wedding in a few weekends and I might have to stop by the place that sells two things on their lunch menu: Bibim Bap and cheesesteak hoagies. I've never tried their cheesesteaks, but the Bibim Bap is among the best I've ever had. Thanks, man. dcd
