Happy Birthday, Mr. Tweedy! dcd

So, first come, first serve for seats, eh? Well, if I hear anything or see anything, I'll be sure to post. Y'all do the same, eh? dcd

I don't see it on Wilcoworld.net yet, so I wonder if there will be a pre-sale? Do they ever not do a pre-sale? dcd

Awwwww, shit! AWESOME. Now I don't have to worry about how the eff I'm going to get back to Michigan in the middle of the week for the Fox show. C-ville Pavillion isn't exactly the Fox, but beggars can't be choosers! Thanks for posting this! anyway, dcd
-
Damn, I may have to figure out how to get a day off in the middle of the week to fly home for this. I've seen a lot of great shows at the Fox, including Neil Young doing solo acoustic 4 or 5 times. anyway, dcd

Happy Beastie Birthday, Sir Stu! It's a sabotage! dcd

I thought I'd give a quick update on the Johnny Cash Radio show. They are up to their 10th show and I've enjoyed every one of them. Also, they are now available as an i-Tunes download. anyway, dcd

In the middle of the version of Pavement Tune from Live at Lollapalooza 2006, Glen sings a line from "Reservations" and then says something about "the Jeff Tweedy, the Disco, the New York City". You can find it on iTunes. dcd

You can download it. I did. I posted the link in the other thread. dcd

What about the hippie hash at the Fleetwood, Cryptique? mmmmm. Hippie Hash when you're loaded at 2 a.m. I haven't had WC in years, come to think of it.... dcd

Long, long ago we would drive down Gratiot into the Dirty D and get White Castles in the late hours of the night. We were always all kinds of not right to make the trip... I used to like those clam strips... anyway, dcd

Thanks for the book reco, Louie. I'm planning on taking a trip down to the Carter Family Fold for a show sometime. Carter Family Fold The PBS American Experience on them was very good, too. dcd

There is a pretty cool DVD set called "The Tomorrow Show - Punk & New Wave" that features Elvis Costello, Iggy Pop, the Plasmatics, the Ramones, Patti Smith, Joan Jett, and John Lydon. It shows Wendy O. Williams blowing up a car, too. dcd

Did you make it to the show, LB? BTW, scroll down to Download MP3/4 and get your own coy of the 9:30 show. dcd

Stream of Swell Season on NPR at the 9:30 Club What a great show. The songs from the movie were great, but of special delight were a few of the Frames songs like Star, Star and The Pavement Song, as well as the covers of the Pixies, Van Morrison, and Bob Dylan. Does anybody have the power (or inclination) to capture this? Or, do any of you have good recommendations for easy-to-use and preferably free software to get the job done? I would really like to have this on CD. Thanks, dcd

Done. Just got me a ticket. Price is right, too. dcd

I would, if ticks are available yet. I'm on the 930 mailing list, but must have missed the announcement. I saw this movie this past Saturday in D.C. at the E Street (I think that's where it was- they're showing Labyrinth in August! I think I might have found a substitute for my beloved Michigan Theater back in A2). Anyway, good flick, good tunes, and perfect running time. dcd

Not too bad. I guess that hernia surgery and the car/bike collision/mangled leg incident and being a fat ass finally pays off for someone. I didn't account for my kidneys because I didn't think of kidney disease as fitting in to the same category as elephantitis. dcd

He probably had to go into hiding from the LDS and the crazy fundamentalists he pissed off, ala Salomon Rushdie. dcd

They're so down-to-earth because they're from Michigan. By the way, I work for an ANC 8(a) (Alaskan Native Corporation with the 8(a) being a small business classification). Anyway, I found out that "Inuit" is the White Man's hack job on the word "Inupiat", which is the language, and "Inupiaq" which are the people. Also, evidently, calling someone an "Eskimo" is like saying the N-word. You shouldn't call someone that unless you are one. anyway, dcd -

We used to enjoy Mr. Show with Bob and David for these types of recreational activities. dcd -
...that I just found in my office this morning. I'd been looking for it for a few days now. I'm glad I don't have to buy another copy. dcd
