  1. If you want to pet that old hound dog, make sure he ain't rolled in shit. I remember reading that Neil said they were'nt "feeling it", so he went out and got a fresh bucket of manure and stood in it to get the perfect take of this song. 10 outta 10 aint too shabby! dcd
  2. Congratulations Tom and Donna! Very, very cool! dcd
  3. I used to work in this factory in Marysville, MI, building mirrors for Ford pick-up trucks. Anyway, I once had this biker dude tell me that he would crawl 100 miles through broken glass and nails just to hear Stevie Nicks pee in a tin cup long distance on the telephone. Now, THAT'S dedication. Not that this has anything to do with the current argument/exchange, but it made me laugh remembering it. Anyway, man, this is a good album. I can't wait to buy it. Until then, I'll just have to enjoy these MP3s. dcd
  4. Right on. Thanks, A-man! Damn, I really like "You Are My Face". How would you describe that song? Sort of a country song, I guess? It sounds like it could have been on a Neil album, maybe "Harvest Moon" or something. Anyway, dcd
  5. Well, this certainly is a nice way to start my Sunday morning ritual of drinking coffee. As soon as I can get this on vinyl, this will fit in nicely with my usual Sunday rotation. I can squeeze this in the list right after the 2nd side of the "Teaser and the Fire Cat" record. Until then, I'll just enjoy these MP3s. What is the track listing? I know the name of a few of the songs, but didn't get 'em all written down last night.
  6. This mofo is cooler than a cucumber in a bowl of hot sauce. I'm on to my 2nd listen... fookin' great. Baby mellow my mind... dcd
  7. Really? On which level? I'm thoroughly enjoying it. So far, this is really mellow on my mind... dcd
  8. Forgive me if these have already been said, but they are both pretty sad (at least to me). "If You Could Read My Mind" by Gordon Lightfoot. Have you heard Johnny Cash sing it? Fucking heart wrenching. "I'm A Long Way From Home" by Hank Cochran. Waylon Jennings sings it on the 1966 soundtrack album, "Nashvile Rebel" and Shooter Jennings does it on the "Walk the Line" soundtrack. Both get me every time. This probably doesn't REALLY count as a sad song, but it always makes me sad when I hear it, but "Promising" by Mr. Tweedy on the Chelsea Walls soundtrack. dcd
  9. I change my vote. The Best. Song. Ever. is quite possibly "Acuff-Rose". dcd
  10. Well, THAT was fuckin' fun! What a great time. Out of the three Jeff solo shows I've been to, this was the tops! What a great crowd, too. There were times when the audience was just about silent. It really lent to some amazing moments for Jeff's brilliance to just shine. I don't know how I'm going to follow this up... I think I'm done with concerts for a while as nothing else is going to touch this experience. Dear Jeff- Thank you. You've made me fall in love with your music all over again! Thank you for treating us to something this special. Thanks, Scott

  17. David: You know how I know that you're gay? Cal: How? Cuz you're gay? and you can tell who other gay people are. David: You know how I know you're gay? Cal: How? David: You like Coldplay. Coldplay doesn't even make the list. WTF is Metallica doing on that list? I think their gaydar may be off a bit... dcd
  18. Ok, as much as I miss home , I do NOT miss that shit. I had to run the A/C last night because it was almost 80 in my apartment and even with windows open, it wouldn't cool down. I'm thinking Al Gore is onto something. dcd

  20. God damn. You'd think Kerry tried to make ghey sexytime with a few Congressional pages or something.
  21. Man, that sucks. Did they find out who it was? I seriously feel that scumbags who try to steal other people's hard earned money in this way need to severely beat. How bad did they get ya? Did you get any of it back? dcd
  22. Sorry they are too late for the surgery, but **vibes** for a speedy and healthy recovery! dcd
