  4. My all time favorite venue Maxwells in Hoboken NJ is closing I have seen about 50 shows here and there is no venue like this anywhere! Beyond sad
  5. OK! I'll be there Friday night! I made my official vote for a cover too Uncle Tupelo Gun! See ya'al there! BTW Jiminey Peak has some reasonable rooms left in the low $100 only 18 miles from the venue,
  6. Yup! Last night of the beacon run. Most interesting setlist I have seen from petty in ages at the earlier beacon shows! Can't wait!
  7. I got a ticket that seems to be GA but says reserved seating rows 1-47 so I am not sure where I'll be..I am going more for the expierence I guess then the sound for this time so I don't care where I sit or stand. Thanks everyone for the pointers. It def sounds like a great place to expierence nature and see a show. I am very excited!
  8. Noel Gallagher did a good job as a side man and his side project knocks the crap out of Liams...
  9. Ahh prob wont tailgate or drink too much since I am going solo..I do like cheese though
  10. So on my bucket list is seeing a concert at Red Rocks. My opportunity happens this summer. I will be on a family vacation in Colorado in August and my wife decided to indulge me for the evening. She is staying behind with my son (too young for shows) for the night and I am going to see Steely Dan at the Red Rocks. Anyone per chance going? Any pointers about Red Rocks to know?
  11. Just saw him and Robbie play a few months ago! Very sad!
  12. Kids roll continues http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/stop-the-presses/kid-rock-makes-waves-billboard-awards-barbed-lip-014845542.html
  13. I can only attend Friday Only the flip side of the argument if you are going to the whole weekend and they played their songs both nights good chance to hear a great variety in their catelog.
  14. That's the spirit! Seriously the only bands I would be excited about them covering would be Uncle Tupelo or Golden Smog
  15. Yeah the we are going to learn 50 songs thing freaks me out. Believe me if this show wasn't 200 miles from my house (and require a tank of gas and a hotel stay) I wouldn't care one way or another but for me to make the trip worthwhile I would love to hear some rarities hearing them cover the Beatles is fine for a song or so is great but I am going for Wilco heavy set and am intrigued what all request show can potentially mean with a catelog of songs they don't often tackle...here are the songs I am itching to hear: Blue Eyed Soul Too Far Apart We're Just Friends Either Way On and On Sunloathe
  16. Well said...Hickman seals the deal in my mind. I have also saw their January run in NYC 4 years in a row. CVB is stil a great band but I wouldn't be upset if it was just Cracker and if it was just CVB I wouldn't go. I do however like CVB instrumental jigs and they do have some clever songs and are a good live band just not my cup of tea...
  17. Ha..I always prefered Cracker to CVB...
  18. Ah nice pics...should have stayed for Fresh Tendrils...that song is great live! Glad you stuck around longer though this time!
  19. Did you enjoy the SG last night?
  20. Soundgarden keeps on killing it. Great show last night. Not sure how Cornell can sing 26 song sets night after night with such intensity. They are also great about mixing up the setlist which I appreciate as always!
  21. Soundgarden tonight, Flaming Lips Thursday! My 90's flashback week commences!
