  1. Yeah the we are going to learn 50 songs thing freaks me out. Believe me if this show wasn't 200 miles from my house (and require a tank of gas and a hotel stay) I wouldn't care one way or another but for me to make the trip worthwhile I would love to hear some rarities hearing them cover the Beatles is fine for a song or so is great but I am going for Wilco heavy set and am intrigued what all request show can potentially mean with a catelog of songs they don't often tackle...here are the songs I am itching to hear: Blue Eyed Soul Too Far Apart We're Just Friends Either Way On and On Sunloathe
  2. Well said...Hickman seals the deal in my mind. I have also saw their January run in NYC 4 years in a row. CVB is stil a great band but I wouldn't be upset if it was just Cracker and if it was just CVB I wouldn't go. I do however like CVB instrumental jigs and they do have some clever songs and are a good live band just not my cup of tea...
  3. Ha..I always prefered Cracker to CVB...
  4. Ah nice pics...should have stayed for Fresh Tendrils...that song is great live! Glad you stuck around longer though this time!
  5. Did you enjoy the SG last night?
  6. Soundgarden keeps on killing it. Great show last night. Not sure how Cornell can sing 26 song sets night after night with such intensity. They are also great about mixing up the setlist which I appreciate as always!
  7. Soundgarden tonight, Flaming Lips Thursday! My 90's flashback week commences!
  8. Hi all...there is a slim chance I can make Friday of Solid Sound..Intrigued by the all request show. Is everyone getting the vibe that it is going to be all or mostly covers? If that is the case I may skip it and just listen from home later. I was hoping for mostly rare WILCO tracks...figured a fest of all mostly die hard Wilco fans making requets we should get some gems...I threw in my request for message form mid bar in the remote chance I make it!
  9. Who knows..maybe the old ones didn't work well?

  11. I had a sinking feeling that was coming. They should save that one to air during the soaps!
  12. Great picks! I was fortunate to hear promising at a solo show once!
  13. Ha ha...what we're your other two choices this year?
  14. Do they normally sell one day tickets? I didn't think this was an option..Wilco are playing both weekends, no?
  15. Love the Cure, DM, FF too very tempting! How many stages does ACL typically have? I assume two of the headliners are going on the same time per night?
  16. Foals!!! Love their new album
  17. Wow...sad... http://music.yahoo.com/news/chris-kelly-rap-duo-kris-kross-dies-ga-024137728.html
  18. Killers have been more popular then Wilco for years..They sold out MSG in a few minutes last year.

  20. I was way off..should have paid better attention on my tour or the Inca Trail! 3800 Varieties! The page below has some other useful Peruvian facts that may also help you! http://www.limaeasy.com/peruvian-food-guide/typical-potatoes
  21. I remember the mother hips from the Aware compilation I bought on the Horde Fest. I saw Horde from 95-99...Loved that fest! Saw so many great bands and descovered many more!
  22. I went to Peru specifically to visit Machu Picchu. It was amazing! The food and archetecture in Cusco is amazing. In terms of food. Since to me food relates to culture here is what I noticed. I believe they said Peru has over 500 varieties of potatoes. They also love their corn and coffee. Pisco sours are the drink of choice. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer
  23. Those took a hit when they were re released..the money is at No Code, Yield, Binaural, Riot Act.
  24. Nice..Elliott Smith is at his best sparse! I dig it!
