  1. Been to Oahu which was awesome but can't help you on Kauai. My recommendation though is to go to virtualtourist.com. Awesome travel page with reviews from travelers and pointers of places to go everywhere in the world! I use virtualtourist religously before I travel. http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/North...uide-Kauai.html
  2. http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2009...1.html#comments The only thing worst than Ticketmaster is Live Nation! There web page is terrible and can't handle a large onsale. Also there service charges are more if that is possible!
  3. I got excited too then I saw the price. Don't fret deals will be had on ebay!
  4. Radio City?! Wow..seems large...thanks for the dates! I am looking forward ot the tour!
  5. As anyone will tell you size does matter. For Wilco's show at Mccarren Pool in Brooklyn (6,000 person venue) I was in the first 3 rows...I remember I had to go to the bathroom which was a mile away. Coming back from the bathroom I realize all you heard was crowds talking, people not paying attention and a weak sound(more so the venues fault). My view is the larger the venue the more casual fans you have. What seems to be the case when the show is in NYC people go to the show just to be seen and don't care about the shows as much as the general expiernce. To expierence Wilco in a larger venue i
  6. http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Movies/02/...more/index.html I only know him from Shawshank but seems like he had quite a career.
  7. That was awesome! Where was Colin, Ed and Phil though!? As far as other performances the sound has been off. Tin sounding vocals and loud bass and mostly low vocal mixes...
  8. Nice show. Cool venue. I was up in the boxes and had a great view of the show. I also saw Gary on the street before the show and asked him if the Bunkhouse Album will ever be rereleased. He said you never know but also stated that Lost Highway has a hold on it and there are some legal issues with releasing it. He did tell me all the other Jayhawks albums will be rereleased with bonus tracks etc soon! Setlist as follows... NYC, Carnegie Hall Feb 7th 1. Rose Society 2. Nothing Left to Borrow 3. Bicycle 4. Bloody Hands 5. Turn your pretty name around 6. Two Angels 7. Say You'll be Mi
  9. Umm thanks? I think it is good to realize some of the best bands out there don't have perfect output. I like to look objectively at my favorite bands.
  10. http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/02/exclus...bs.html?cnn=yes Wow this is really getting serious now...
  11. Yeah that would have been my number 6...I was 10 when Shiny Happy People came out. I thought it was goofy and enjoyed it at the time...yet again I was 10...
  12. Yeah I was thinking how can anyone not like Spark That Bled, paranoid Android, Wolf at The Door and all 5 of those Wilco songs!
  13. Peter Buck Mike Campbell (Tom Petty) Jack White Jonny Greenwood/Ed O'Brien Jay Farrar Jeff Tweedy Gary Louris George Harrison
  14. This leads to the next question. Wonder how many are actually born in Hawaii percentagewise??
  15. Yeah I realize this happens in some fields but the difference is those are companies verse an individual.
  16. A new spin on your favorite 5 bands... List your top 5 favorite bands and your top 5 least favorite songs by them.....Go... 1) R.E.M. 1. Me in Honey 2. High Speed Train 3. The Ascent of Man 4. Leave Me Like You Found Me 4) The Cure 1. Return 2. Never
  17. It doesn't seem like Hawaii is trying to be compasionate. They probably don't want people bumming around in touristy destination scaring away the tourist. To me this is the approach I see it as. What if the mainland sent all of its homeless to Hawaii? At least it is warm there year round?!
  18. That's what I am affraid of...there is always someone who can do things cheaper. Its hard to do things cheaper when you have a steady stream of bills etc....
