  1. Glad I am not in this band! http://www.nme.com/news/various-artists/41592 Shesh!
  2. Nice! PS. Both NYC show sold out! NUTS!
  3. Seeing shows in NYC is awesome except for 3 things. Ticket prices are the highest in the country, drinks are expensive and the shows get on REAL LATE! I have seen many headlines that take the stage at 11pm (Even on a Monday!) It usually means I get home at 1-2am! Not fun. Other than that NYC gets every show you could think of so it is hard to find much else to complain about.
  4. I saw them in March and they played Popular. I have seen them 5 times and they have only played it 2 times? Popular in the context of their careers does not fit into their style at all. I saw them on Monday at Maxwells and we got some great surprises! Neither Heaven nor Space All is a Game (First performance ever!) Hyperspace 80 Windows Treehouse
  5. Agreed! Loose String, Ten Second News, Route, Drown, Catching On, Mystifies Me! What else can you ask for!
  6. Wow what has REM done to you? Seems a little personal. Though I can't say I don't know the feeling. I used to love Aerosmith but I lost it after that song Pink came out. Anyway just wanted to see why your opinion changed so much.
  7. As a fan of both bands I don't get all the criticism of both the bands. All 6 of the albums you listed have many many great songs. POP by U2 is probably my 2nd favorite album by them. All That You Can't Leave Behind has great songs (Peace on Earth, When I Look at the World, Walk On), Atomic Bomb is a little weak but still I spin it every once in a while. REM meanwhile the last three albums I still enjoy and listen to . Reveal has some classics ( Imitation, Rain, I've Been High, Beat a Drum) and Accelerate is an amazing album. I listen to that quite oftent. So I would still give the edge to REM
  8. Doesn't even hold a candle to last year!
  9. Headlines and Jaywalking are funny...rest of his show I don't like.
  10. Agreed on Walkmen! On a side note I am seeing them on next Tuesday and can't wait!
  11. Born in the USA was after Nebraska. Perhaps his most iconic?
  12. It does kind of look like a childrens book cover. I am sure the music will be fine though
  13. Obama has a 79% approval rating for his handling of the transition! http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/12/09/Obama.poll/index.html
  14. It is in my book! Been a fan for 14 years. Never saw them with Coxon. Their live show is phenominal (even with out Coxon). Playing Hyde Park as a headliner shows the anticipation for the size of this event. Sorry I am a little excited if you couldn't tell.
  15. http://emi.emreact.com/go.asp?/.parlophone...r.forms/bEMU001 Tickets on sale friday! I am going to do whatever I can to try and get there!
  16. I may not have seen Springsteen in the "prime" but I have seen him on The Ghost of Tom Joad, Tracks, Rising, Seeger Session, Devils & Dust and Magic Tours (About 20 shows in total) and have yet to be dissapointed with any release or show. Bruce is very passionate and his performances show it. I am not sure how he is a charachter of his former self...then again this is really the only Springsteen I have known. I am greatly anticipating the new tour and album! Bring it!

  18. I appreciate both those albums. If I made a top 50 those both would have been in my top 35 or so!
  19. My college booked Wilco the year after I left I did get them to book Guster. Which is I think the only concert we made money on! We had a good run though but barley made any money. We had Jon Stewart, Dave Chappel, Live, George Clinton, KRS One..also had a lot of crap Everclear, Everlast.....I did what ever I can to get semi decent artist but when you are voting with 15 not so musically inclined college students it was an exercise in futility!
  20. http://www.concertideas.com/search.php Wilco is only $50,000... Green Day $500,000!!!!!!! Looking at the list the Eels are a bargin! $7-10k!
  21. I agree...When they find her killer I hope he rots in jail!
  22. So nothing for murder and 15 for robbery thats unfair!
  23. The Man Who Steped into Yesterday... Trey's college thesis which was put to music. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_Who_S...sterday_(album) I heard a few of these in concet. Including AC/DC Bag, Lizards, The Man Who Stepped into Yesterday and Possum!
