  9. Umm lets see...the Synthesizers what where they responsible for? Most of all 80's music!!!! Don't forget Duran Duran started in 1979...their influence was huge for the 1980's as was the Cure and Depeche Mode. Also Duran Duran where one of the first groups on MTV to make music videos. Rio was a hugely important music video and was way ahead of its time! PS There were alot of influential bands I can't stand (Metallica) but I know they wre important to music. Synth power!!!!
  10. I don't know when you people are sarcastic or not I actually like Duran Duran I am not going to deny it. Their Self Titled debut is Awesome(Rio is good too!). Friends of Mine, Sound of Thunder and Planet Earth are great songs. I even liked Astronaut. I saw them 3 times with all 5 members and I could tell that Andy didn't fit in any more. He would turn his guitar all the way up to drown out the other members. Hey if you don't like them no biggie but I don't think you can deny their musical influence???

  19. Genesis plan reunion tour Peter Gabriel still steers clear Genesis are planning a reunion tour - but without founding member Peter Gabriel, who left the group in 1975. The band - Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks - will reform for a series of live shows. Collins's last album with the band was 1991's 'We Can't Dance'. A spokesman said that specific details of the reunion - including possible new material - would be announced in the next few weeks. The band have sold over 130 million albums worldwide since forming in 1965.
  20. You can't go wrong with any Elliott Smith! My vote is for No Name #3 or Coming Up Roses
  21. Well it sounds like you enjoyed your Everclear expierence more than I did mine. I worked security for a show of theirs back in 2000 or so and although I wasn't really watching the show it was still the worst concert I have seen in my life. This is out of 600 concerts and I have seen some pretty bad ones. They sounded so poor. It seemed like they never rehearsed. It was really embarrising. I knew alot of there songs but I couldn't recognize any of them because the playing was soooo muddy. The sound system sucked too. I also saw them with the orginal members Anyhoo...I usually like any band li
