  1. Nope...just mainly people from this season. I understand there was a party after this where many more racers attended but I did not go to that one.
  2. It still is sinking in that I was able to watch the finale of one of my favorite tv shows with the cast! How it came together and how I ended up there made it that much more random and exciting!
  3. By some weird twist of fate I ended up at the finale of the Amazing Race cast party! My friend and his mom were at the play Curtains on friday night and they ran into Dave and Mary. After talking to them they were kind enought to invite them and friends to the party. Little did they know and I know it was a private party. We get to the bar and the bouncer was pretty tame looking and he kept leaving to go to the bathroom. So after he left I went up there with my friends and just hung out. It was a blast and being that this is my favorite show right now it was icing on the cake. I got to see the
  4. From CNN.com this morning. Deal reached on climate change Story Highlights
  5. Another question! How many albums did they sell in the Yukon, Northwest and Iqualuilt??? That would be interetsing to find out!
  6. The Iqualuit show capacity is 500 I think! Too bad airfare form Mainland USA is roughly $1500! It would be an expierence though! How can they make money on a show like that with equipment transportation etc?!
  7. ikol...it is alright to disagree on the future climate but I put this thought on the line. How about having better air to breath for our current generation. The number of people with lung cancer from poisionus sut is rising at a fast pace (Due mostly to coal fired plants and gasoline emissions). The air is so much cleaner in other parts of the world that it is crazy we can't do somethig to fix this. I have been to places where I felt like I was choking from the air quality (Chile, Argentina) to places that it was so refreshing just to breathe (Finland Sweeden etc) On another note I don't know
  8. I was at the Johnson, Carter & Kennedy Museaums...all beautiful archetecture and great documented history at all 3. Unfortunatley the Royals will not be in town when I am there!
  9. The Jazz Museaum and Truman Library are right up my alley. Thanks for the good pointers. Presidential Libraries are some of the best versions of US history around!
  10. Yep! Hbo Reverb. I have the taped version that appeared on tv. I wish I could get my hands on that full video! That show was sooo intense and Jeff was hillarious!
  11. They also have Creme Burlee ice cream which is also amazing!
  12. Thanks! I'm already hungry and I still have 3 months till Im there!
  13. I will be out in the heartland in July for a few days. Was wondering who has been to these places, are there any good sidetrips recommended (Council Bluffs, Lawrence, Lincoln?) Also what are the best BBQ Places and Steakhouses in either city. Please let me know if there are any must see places too! Thanks!
  14. I would assume the venue gets rented out and a fee gets paid by the promoter on top of that they do get a portion of the ticket price. I know there is maitenence but why should a lawn ticket and and orchestra ticket have the same building facility charge! $6 is excessive too!
  15. On top of that what gets me is building facility charges. All tickets at the PNC this summer have a $6 building facility charge! Even if you get lawn tickets! What building are you using there! On top of that if you go to PNC's box office tickets are not service charge free becuase they claim to be a ticketmaster outlet instead of a box office. I then tried to buy tickets for other venues shows there and they said only pnc shows available! What a crock!
  16. Story on Brooklynvegan! http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2007...tmaster_su.html What a joke. TM says Stubhub is unfair in ubtaining tickets. How about ticketmaster is unfair in distributing tickets! Any msg show you can't get in the first sections even if you log on in 1 sec to buy tickets! Opinions!?
  17. Marr is an excellent guitar player and Morrisseys lyrics are classic. They have influenced a ton of bands. I think they are a shoe in!
  18. Feb 15,1997 Irving Plaza, NYC! Still my fav Wilco show by far!
  19. JUly/Aug shows $20 for lawn in Baltimore! Hopefully some cheaper theater tickets will also be around!
  20. Any of those craptastic duets with Santana Ie Rob Thomas, Michelle Branch Uggh! Mariah Carey and Celine Dion can be added to that mix for good mesure!
  21. Time Out New York Magazine is great to pick up the week you arrive! Also just look at pollstar.com to get an idea of what shows are coming to town before you arrive!
  22. If I am unfamiliar with a new album I will listen to before. Ie I am seeing Son Volt wednesday so I have been listening to the search alot. But if not I usually will just listen to a band the day after I see em.
  23. I'll be there...You mean the Filmore not Irving?
