cool! They put Cocaine in the coffee. It allows all those Torontonians rushing around with their blackberrys to type faster. Glad you enjoyed the city. Lots of other off the beaten track places to check out on a future visit.

Shit, skipped this to see Amy Milan and the Bahamas guy. Too many entertainment options... (although I talked to Ron Sexsmith for a while and got to marvel over Darcy Yates and Christine Bougie's playing. We even got a Leslie Feist guest appearance) Guess I'll have to catch up with Wilco on the frozen tundra tour.

Very cool! I'll pop by next time I'm up at Sonic Boom or getting Lee's tickets. I have a family member that runs the Green Beanery/old bank building at Bathurst/Bloor. I'll tell them to check it out. You of course offer discounts for low numbered board members....

Woot. It will be fun to see them again. Just too bad this is not at the Aeolian. @Bbop - if you do not say hello, I will be extremely miffed. -
Are you all seeing the images in this thread? I get the typical message that the images have been reduced by X amount, but no smaller image underneath.

I bet they are trying to avoid that awkward meet up with a drunk Jon Rae Fletcher.

And they are driving the RAM 1500 across the country to Oct 29 - Winnipeg, Pyramid Cabaret Oct 30 - Saskatoon, Lydia's Oct 31 - Calgary, Palomino Nov 2 - Lethbridge, The Slice Nov 3 - Medicine Hat, Ottomon Lounge Nov 4 - Edmonton, Black Dog Nov 5 - Golden, Rockwater Bar & Grill Nov 6 - Kelowna, The Minstrel Nov 7 - Vancouver, The Bourbon Nov 8 - Robert's Creek Nov 10- Bruno, All Citizens This band is soo good, they will change your life. Tempted to go to the show tonight. Never seen them before... Good in concert?

Molina and Johnson - 20 circles to the ground. Wish I had the whole release.

Think that's my favourite thing of the year. Ie - not just records, all things.

Just felt like some Modfather.

finally got this. Excellent.

Gotta respect a passion

yeah, but we're talking 'Proto' and not 'Post' here. Get your critic jargon straight!

I think you may have just gone off the deep end. There are lots of metal songs about losing/gaining control. Also lots of long metal songs - didn't a couple takes of Helter Skelter clock in at 27 minutes? Can't think of a good punk song that did that. no need to post a comic book guy jpeg or anything for your or Crytique's post. it would be too mean.

Talk about limiting your scope. http://www.exclaim.c...=844&fid1=41229 Exclusive: The Weakerthans’ John K. Samson Reveals New Seven-Inches Series in Honour of Manitoba Roads 9/18/2009 By Greg Pratt Fans of Canuck indie faves the Weakerthans, rejoice: the band’s vocalist/guitarist John K. Yes , agreed. Trouble is the ass is too big and too frequently on display.

not going to read back into a 40 page thread and I understand both the differences and appeal of getting something as the artists wanted it, but this whole thing seems meaningless and sorta stupid. It's like the Rock Critics who like to label and classify things 40 years after they happen. The majority of people could not care less about say Captain Beefheart , yet endless articles extolling Van Vliet's worth totally disregard the fact that he just was not listened to at the time and still isn't. Sure, Mono mixes with the non North American track listings may be somebody's wet dream,
-
yeah I know. There's no 'blisters on me fingers' type things, but really, who cares?

Umm, isn't there that little button on most stereos that says 'Monaural'? Buying the mono box is way to Comic Book Guy.
