Jenny Omnichord - Charlotte or Otis: Duets for Children, Their Parents and Other People Too

Great Bridge! I certainly get a Sparklehorse thing going with 13ghosts. Love it and have the video for an alternate version of Whippoorwill tattooed on my brain. http://www.13ghostsmusic.com/WhipPoorWill(med).html

Props to Matt and Bridge. Fuck, this is good: Dude is like an American Billy Bragg. new to me too.

Thanks - the mix looks very good.

That's great Dave. Glad everything worked out! (and good to know they were not dissing me for being un-funny, which is true, but hurts regardless of that truth)

(start annoying condescension) I was there at Larry's hideaway and then rest of you were not (end annoying condescension) Yeah can't wait to get this. If I'm remembering correctly the live recording came from CFNY for re-broadcast and they ran out of tape/some other technical fuck up about an hour in. Don't know if the cd fixes it or came from a parallel source, but it was a very good show. RIP Larry's Hideaway - the grimiest shit hole of a rock club in the world.

Jenny Omichord - Duets for Children, Their Parents, and other People too. There is a really pretty new Tony Dekker song 'Do You Know Karate?' on this thing. This was the album that almost never got released with the Arcade Fire guy's lawyers blocking the released after it was all burnt, packaged and then dropped from Weewerk records. It got released minus the one AF song by Label Fantastic, a record label sooo small it doesn't have a website.

I didn't realize that Sam Beam and Sufjan Stevens had a baby! Cute!

Knock 'em dead tonight Dave. I posted this supposedly humourous comment on their Myspace page saying they should dress in Upper Canada College 'number 1s' for the whole tour. They didn't seem to like the comment very much and it was gone in a flash. Proof that not everything on MTV Canada is a 'Huge mistake'

Even on over the counter meds, Duffy Driediger is hilarious. There is so much mistaken name stuff in here, the guy could be a pretty fantastic writer if he wanted. Ie - 2 bands with similar names, 2 Londons (where LadyHawke is I think from) and then 2 types of fingering.

I love Ladyhawk. http://theeyeofladyhawk.blogspot.com/2008/11/ladyhockey.html

I guess for a list of top whatever, I would have to go with something like: Elliott Brood - Mountain Meadows All acoustic instruments with a wall of pedals/feedback and effects. Like some alternate universe Husker Du where the electric guitar was never invented but the Fender amp was. Jolie Holland - Living and the Dead Has really caught me off-guard and is cracking my top 5. Of the 11 tracks on it, only one, a filler version of 'Enjoy Yourself' is not absolutely excellent. Mexico City is a biography of Joan Vollmer, she of the ill-fated game of William Tell with William S. Burroughs. Of

The two wrens demos from the new album. Over and Over again. In fact I will hold my breath until the new record comes out.
