  1. The Pogues - If I Should Fall From Grace with God Not '91 but pretty close.
  2. Damien Jurado - Now That I'm Your Shadow
  3. Dandy Warhols - Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia
  4. Dashboard Confessional - A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar I am not suppose to like this but I do. I may not still be listening to it in 10 years but I'm listening now.
  5. Pedro The Lion - Control Getting ready for tonights show.
  6. Thanks Narz. This place rocks and I can't even imagine all the hard work that has gone and continues to go into it.
  7. Don't know about in general, but they went on at 9:15 for this show.
  8. I also hate the cover but am a little underwhelmed by it. I had it talked up to me by some friends for at least a month before it leaked and while I like it, I don't see myself coming back to it very often.
  9. My wife and I were there last night. We thought it was an awesome show. I've seen them 10 or 12 times now and it was great. The new line-up rocks and they crowd had a lot of energy. It was probably below the Ryman show from earlier this year but mainly because that is such a good venue. I was bothered by the sound for the opening band and worried that Wilco wasn't going to sound good either but they sounded great. Great set-list; lots of Summerteeth. First time I haven't heard Spiders in a while which is kinda sad for me cause that song rocks live but no real complaints with what they p
  10. Yo La Tengo -I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One I've never really listened to these guys, but have heard a lot about this album. It's enjoyable on the first couple of listens but it seems like the type of album that requires some time to fully form an opinion on.
  11. What would be a good album to start with by this guy? I've never heard of him before and can't find much info about him on the internets.
  12. My point was that you first said it sucked (save one song) then you said you listened to another one of the songs that you originally said sucked too much and "killed" it for yourself. My question was why would you bother listening to a song that sucked so much that you killed yourself on it. I never said whether or not I like Loaded or implied you should.
  13. If it sucks, why did you listen to it so much?
  14. I'll be there as well. Heading down from Nashvegas on a school night but it'll be worth it I'm sure.
  15. Various Artists - The Sound the Hare Heard
  16. That song is on right now. I download the album because of this thread. I know the singles but have never heard an album by them. Liked it a lot first time through. For some reason I was lumping them in with Blondie, but that seems pretty far off the mark after actually listening to them.
  17. I have the opposite question as Mr. Heartbreak. I only have the box set. Is there anything on V.U. or Another View that I'm really missing?
  18. OK, I am listening to White Light now and Sister Ray is an amazing song. I've always loved White Light (the song) but I guess I've always been a little sick of the noise and weirdness by the time Sister Ray gets going. "She's busy..."
  19. I rarely make it past the 12 minute mark of Sister Ray. I can appreciate the album and its influence but it's not the one I reach for when I want to listen to the VU.
  20. The Velvet Underground Loaded The Velvet Underground and Nico White Light/White Heat The first three could all change places on any given day but I have never understood all the talk White Light gets.
