cryptique
Is 9/2 good or bad?...and wouldn't it just be easier to say "
Synthesizer Patel
Is 9/2 good or bad? Good for us, bad for Pakistan. 9 runs for 2 wickets (there are 11 batsmen per side, and you have to bowl 10 of them out before you're allowed to bat - unless they want to declare that is)
Synthesizer Patel
I think only Dylan's new album is likely to stop this being my favourite album this year, unless something comes along that I've never heard of, that is.

Welsh Rich
all this love for Midlake... There's plenty better records released this year so far... Still got the cricket on. Pakistan all out for 119, England 1/0 Harmison (13-7-19-6) blew them away with some fabulously Ambrosian bowling, and Monty Panesar (7.4-3-21-3)bowled excellently as well

And as for Midlake, well ... you're just wrong!
Jay
Midlake is great and cricket is confusing.
Welsh Rich
See - there's a record that's better than the Midlake one Sorry about editing posts

In total agreement. It's passed Fambly Cat for me and though I am looking forward to the new Dylan, Yo La Tengo and Beck discs, I don't think anything short of Lennon and Harrision rising from the dead and the Beatles reuniting is going to knock this from my top spot. Sorry Rich Midlake is now playing for me as well. --Mike
Mrs. Peel
I can't PM anyone either. I listened to Cerys again this morning and really enjoy it. I love the intro of the first song, it really kicks things off nicely.

Welsh Rich
Well, TMS online seems to have died, so whilst I'm waiting for that to come back on...
Synthesizer Patel
Jen - glad you like Cerys, it's a perfect summery album! I think I could like one of her albums because I like her voice, but I've never really liked the production too much, what does this album sound like?
Welsh Rich
The production is a lot more polished, her voice is lovely in it, gentle folkish tendancies but is just good music. I really like it.

Cool, you're saying all the right things here. What instruments are used on the album?
Welsh Rich
I wouldn't know them all to be honest, but mainly guitars, some strings, piano... there's a little bit of studio trickery in there as well...
Synthesizer Patel
Excellent. Again you said all the right things there. I'm going to hunt this down!
Mrs. Peel
She sounds like an adorable child when she sings in the higher keys. She's so lovely.
Welsh Rich
If the PM's were working, I could help you out! But it is on Oink... She sounds like an adorable child when she sings in the higher keys. She's so lovely. I also think she's reigned it in a bit as well so it's not wailing all the time, it's just really nice and shows off her talents a lot more.
