ction
I've been listening to Shake the Sheets and Hearts of Oak a LOT lately, and I'm kicking myself for skipping his free show last summer at Ft. Reno park in DC. Does anyone have any good quality (soundboard?) live shows they'd be willing to share? I have a bunch of different stuff I can offer in return. mjpuczko
yeah, overall the songs are better on tyranny i think. shake the sheets has a few songs on it i'm not high on.
parisisstale
The 2 shows I have aren't very good quality at all, but I'm on the lookout for a good one. Love that guy.
Sir Stewart
Here's a picture I took of Ted Leo. That's the best I can do, besides thirding Tyranny of Distance being better than Shake the Sheets.

cryptique
quadrupledquintupled (fifthed?). Tyranny is one of my all-time favorite albums. I can't recommend it highly enough. As for live TL, I'll look around through my stuff. I'm not sure I have any soundboard recordings, but I might have something that's decent enough to listen to.
Guest Rufer
I've been listening to Shake the Sheets and Hearts of Oak a LOT lately, and I'm kicking myself for skipping his free show last summer at Ft. Reno park in DC. Does anyone have any good quality (soundboard?) live shows they'd be willing to share? I have a bunch of different stuff I can offer in return. I was at that Ft. Reno show and it was really good. The Evens played immediately prior. Everything about Ft. Reno shows are great. I saw Ted Leo more recently at the Black Cat and it was much less impressive. The atmosphere between the two shows made almost all of the difference.
cryptique
Sorry, I've struck out on live Leo. I still think I have some somewhere, but damned if I can find it.
wheelco
can't help ya, but I do love Hearts of Oak
Dr. Steve Brule
Am I the only person who likes the first "self-titled" one? (not saying it's his best, I just like that he did it)
owl
You're damn right he's good. Tyranny is great, but I think I like the main 3 equally: Sheets, Tyranny, Hearts of Oak. One of our good friends has some MP3s up here:http://www.captainsdead.com/?p=544 I haven't listened to them yet, but I intend to tonight.
Jimbo Jones
For any NYC area members, Ted and the Pharmacists are playing a free show at the South Street Seaport on Friday night. Should be great.

cryptique
That would be very, very cool. Thanks!Yeah, I'd love to get in on that as well. I saw TL/RX when they played Detroit a year or two ago and they pretty much blew the roof off the dump. I don't usually go see bands a second time -- it has to be someone amazing like, say, Wilco -- but I definitely plan to go see them again on a future tour. Leo is a fantastic guitarist. Next time I see him, I plan to get down front and watch his fretwork a bit more closely.
