I've been listening to Shake the Sheets and Hearts of Oak a LOT lately, and I'm kicking myself for skipping his free show last summer at Ft. Reno park in DC.

Does anyone have any good quality (soundboard?) live shows they'd be willing to share? I have a bunch of different stuff I can offer in return.

quadrupled

quintupled (fifthed?). Tyranny is one of my all-time favorite albums. I can't recommend it highly enough.

As for live TL, I'll look around through my stuff. I'm not sure I have any soundboard recordings, but I might have something that's decent enough to listen to.

I was at that Ft. Reno show and it was really good. The Evens played immediately prior. Everything about Ft. Reno shows are great.

I saw Ted Leo more recently at the Black Cat and it was much less impressive.

The atmosphere between the two shows made almost all of the difference.

Yeah, I'd love to get in on that as well. :thumbup

I saw TL/RX when they played Detroit a year or two ago and they pretty much blew the roof off the dump. I don't usually go see bands a second time -- it has to be someone amazing like, say, Wilco -- but I definitely plan to go see them again on a future tour.

Leo is a fantastic guitarist. Next time I see him, I plan to get down front and watch his fretwork a bit more closely.
