EL the Famous
It looks as if my wife and all of her fellow teachers in the school district in which they work are going to go on strike. Awesome.
cryptique
It looks as if my wife and all of her fellow teachers in the school district in which they work are going to go on strike. Awesome.Detroit just got done with one of those, complicated by the fact that a few years ago the state legislature apparently made it illegal for teachers to strike, which of course was brought up again and again by the administration throughout the strike. Hopefully there's no such law where you are.
ction
It looks as if my wife and all of her fellow teachers in the school district in which they work are going to go on strike. Awesome. If they picket in front of a school, I'll PayPal you $5 if you can get video of them chanting: "hey hey, ho ho, this penis party has got to go, hey hey, ho ho..."
OOO
It looks as if my wife and all of her fellow teachers in the school district in which they work are going to go on strike. Awesome. I suggest you post on the fridge a list of chores she can do around the house since she won't be at work. Make sure you include "clean the couch cushions" in case you end up having to sleep there. EL the Famous
Hopefully there's no such law where you are. don't think so, as there is a defined protocol and series of paperwork/etc. involved by both the teacher's union and school board before the actual strike occurs. i'm not aware if the use of the word 'penis' in any picketing is considered okay or not. I suggest you post on the fridge a list of chores she can do around the house since she won't be at work. Make sure you include "clean the couch cushions" in case you end up having to sleep there. she already works half days and taking care of our twins pretty much takes up a lot of her time. plasticeyeball
Detroit just got done with one of those, complicated by the fact that a few years ago the state legislature apparently made it illegal for teachers to strike, which of course was brought up again and again by the administration throughout the strike. Hopefully there's no such law where you are. we have that law here. 2 years ago, our district went out on strike and they started arresting teachers. my across the street neighbor spent at least 1 night in jail. JUDE
It looks as if my wife and all of her fellow teachers in the school district in which they work are going to go on strike. Awesome. When I was in 6th grade the teachers in my district went on strike, my mom being a commie/socialist was tight with the teachers union so our basement became a strike HQ. (we lived acriss the street from the middle school). It was not really that great, I got stuck being tutored with the other teachers kids instead of being able to hang out with the other kids and watch cartoons and stuff. deepseacatfish
Personally I think it's ridiculous for teachers to be arrested for striking...but maybe that's just because I'm going for an education l icense
OOO
I would definitely strike if it was deemed illegal for me to strike. That's lame. That hotel strike on that South Michigan Ave. Hotel is stilling going on, right?

Sir Stewart
Flavor Flav is funny and all, but the meat of this clip comes when LL Cool J busts out his freestyle. Watch him pick up speed. Whew! Yes, I searched YouTube for this very scene.

Atticus
Short answer yes with an "if", long answer no with a "but" hmm... well, I've done it a couple of times before, when I was younger and not quite as wise (this was circa Spring of 2006) or as afraid of getting shot. I guess I should try to practice love, kindness and patience and all that hooey right?
