Oil Can Boyd
Scarlett Sings Tom Waits Scarlett Johansson Record Deal in the Works Scarlett Johansson and Lindsay Lohan are about to have something in common. Scarlett, I am told, has signed a deal to make her first record. "Scarlett Sings Tom Waits" is being recorded now and through the winter, with a possible release next spring from Rhino Records' recently reactivated Atco label. The eventual release date will be coordinated with Johansson's movie schedule. Fear not, though. Unlike some other recent pop tarts, Scarlett

cryptique
If this results in music videos featuring a scantily clad Scarlett rolling around on the hood of a '66 Lincoln Continental, I'm all for it.
JUDE
I may do an album of songs about Scarlett Johansson's breasts, I'll have to start smoking 7 packs a day to sound like Tom Waits.
watch me fall
Why can't actors just be actors? Didn't we learn anything from Patrick Swayze or Don Johnson?

MrRain422
This can't be nearly as bad as Jared Leto's band. That is all.
fortuneinmyhead
on the (slightly) bright side, she'll be covering songs of a respected writer & not writing her own drivel.

Guest tandylacker
Really though the only good actor turned musician is Jack Black with Tenacious D... If you have not heard Wonderboy and Tribute Song, then you have not lived!
cryptique
Really though the only good actor turned musician is Jack Black with Tenacious D...I'm going to have to be a voice of dissent on that one. In fact, I'm beginning to wonder whether he's even a good actor. His turn in High Fidelity was great. That's about it.
MrRain422
He is a man of many talents, but acting is definately near the bottom of the list, below comedy writing, songwriting, singing and guitar playing.
Guest tandylacker
Excellent guitar player, singer, and writer. Also has a great on screen presence. Do people on this message board really need to critique everything to the point that it is not even enjoyable to post on here? The reason why I said Tenacious D is the only example of an actor putting out a great CD is because Jack Black does not take it completely serious. He has a good time on the CD and made some music/comedy bits to laugh at. Jeez. You, and many others on here, sound like Jack Black's character in High Fidelity... So smug, I bet you like the smell of your own farts, too... huh? BIOTCH! Disregard this message.
