mountain bed
Well, anyone enjoy the Boise State game? I only saw the highlights, but you had a good day yesterday man...that must have been amazing!
mpolak21
The Fiesta Bowl was fantastic and I almost had a coronary watching the Mountaineers in the Gator Bowl, but somehow they pulled it out. --Mike
Moltisanti
Does anybody know if ESPN Classic will be able to show a replay of the Fiesta Bowl? I switched it over to something else before all of the great stuff started happening(with like two minutes left!), and I just got sidetracked somehow before a buddy called me like an hour later and said to me, "Dude, please tell me you just saw the end of that game!" I'd really like to see all of that stuff in its entireity. No way the highlights really do it justice.

A friend of mine was telling me a couple days ago that the NFL Network might be doing replays of some of the bowl games sans timeouts, commercials, etc (might just be BCS bowls). I don't know any details but you may want to check there and see. That Boise St game was great. I had to leave at the end of regulation when it was still tied up, and didn't find out the final score until this morning. Exciting game all the way through, though---good for Boise State. Looks like Wake Forest couldn't pull off that kind of upset tonight.
Nobody Girl
For the last day I haven't been able to stop singing, "Statue of Liberty play/It only works once/Don't throw it away."

parisisstale
The big bad SEC's sure had a great showing so far.
cryptique
The big bad SEC's sure had a great showing so far.Hmmm ... I count 4-3 with two games to play? They'll probably end up 5-4 -- I see LSU beating ND and UF losing to OSU.
wheelco
UF losing to OSU.well said, Meeshkin' man
cryptique
well said, Meeshkin' manParticularly painful for me to say because I'm a Gator fan. However, come Bowl season, I do tend to cheer for the Big Ten -- even those coddamned Buckeyes.

I was referring to the fact that some people believe that the SEC should never lose, especially to the supposedly down Big Ten. I'm sick of SEC fans, Urban Meyer, etc etc. Here's hoping ND gives a good showing tonight, and that the Gators get romped. I'll even just take the second one.

As much as I'd like to see the Big Ten outperform the SEC, though, I simply cannot cheer for Notre Dame under any circumstances. To modify an old saying ... I have two favorite teams: Michigan, and whoever's playing Notre Dame.
explodo
Boo, Big Ten, booooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Yay, Alabama.
cryptique
Yay, Alabama. Saban's leaving the Dolphins to coach the Tide. Wow. I really didn't think that would happen.
creativetype
For the last day I haven't been able to stop singing, "Statue of Liberty play/It only works once/Don't throw it away." That's been my sig line since day one! What an incredible game ... I mentioned the Wilco significance to my wife after the play, along with the brilliant coaching strategery of Jeff Tweedy. mountain bed
If ND can win tonight,it would salvage their season. In the rumor mill dept: Local rumors have Tony Dungy going back to his alma mater & coaching Minnesota next year.
explodo
Wow. I really didn't think that would happen.Me either. But I'm pretty happy as long as he doesn't leave in six weeks to do something else. They've got a good set of players lined up, too. Shouldn't be terribly long before they compete on a national level again.

Shows every play in the game, but none of the other stuff. Makes the game 35 minutes long...
poonkorama
^^But the game just wouldn't be the same without hearing John Mellencamp sing "This is Our Country" every 5 minutes
H-Bomb Henry
Glad to see Louisiana Simpleton University playing for hurricane Katrina. Notre Dame doesn
Moltisanti
Was the Rose Bowl even played? The coverage on most of the ESPN shows has been so minimal. Around the Horn and Pardon the Interruption pretty much made no mention of it. I'm guessing if the results had been the opposite, it would have been the lead story on both shows yesterday. cryptique
I do love a good spanking of Notre Dame.
