theologians
This is the first wilco release that i will actually care about. I became hooked shortly after AGIB was released. Im really excited, I can't wait to hear some "new" material--I like the songs that are supposedly on the album. I'm also interested to see how Nels' guitar will fit in with the studio recording...as his guitar seems to be suited for live improv. I heard the song Impossible Germany live last fall and was amazed at the instrumentation displayed. What do you all think?

napoleon
I am expecting Yankee Hotel Foxtrot II: Foxtroter i think that may be the most original and amusing thing i've ever heard.
markosis
I came on board the same time you did, right after AGIB. I am only expecting a great rock record, nothing more.

I heard the song Impossible Germany live last fall and was amazed at the instrumentation displayed. What do you all think? On a semi-non-related note, what the hell happened to "Impossible Germany"? During some of the summer shows in Canada, there was this amazing crescendo at the end of the workout; now, it's three plodding verses, and noodling with no crescendo before it trails off; Well, not as extreme as I portray it, but still
So Long
I'm sure all of the songs will be turned upside down and robbed of their wallets in the studio.
WaronWar
I'm sure all of the songs will be turned upside down and robbed of their wallets in the studio.I love it when they do it because it makes it far more exciting.

jakobnicholas
I feel like the new album might be a classic, much like Being There. I love the roughness of AM, the darkness and poppiness of Summerteeth, the mystery and experimentation of YHF, and the spontaneity of A Ghost is Born. But, to me, Being There is the album that always feels most comfortable. And, after hearing a bunch of the new songs...with the combination of fabulous band musicianship (Nels' play on some of the new songs is beautiful and Kotche never stops amazing), Tweedy's expanding vocal ability, and lyrics that seem generally hopeful and universal...I think this might be the Wilco record I'm reaching for 20 years from now. cryptique
I think speculation is just that: speculation.
caliber66
This album will cause planes to fall from the sky. Also, it will cure cancer, end world hunger and cause both Jay Farrar and Jay Bennett to cease to exist.
uncle wilco
i just hope it doesn't suck. that's all...no pressure or anything...
caliber66
I fully expect listening to the new album to increase the size of one's penis and/or breasts, as applicable.

Guest Speed Racer
I think this might be the Wilco record I'm reaching for 20 years from now. With the recent talk about this sounding 'lite' or like 'dad-rock,' that statement could be good AND bad.
suites
This album will sell a million copies... LouieB Don't think so....but maybe 20% chance. I just want them to be on SNL just once

Don't think so....but maybe 20% chance. Are you questioning my judgement??? (Its got a good beat and you can dance to it.......) LouieB
quarter23cd
With the recent talk about this sounding 'lite' or like 'dad-rock,' that statement could be good AND bad.Meh. Even when Being There was new, I remember my friends called it as dad-rock. Why change now? Dad-rock seems to be working for them quite nicely... (note: I am also a dad)
Gobias Industries
i expect it to be mindblowing. in every way.
jff
This album will sell a million copies... LouieB What's that, like 3 album sold for every concert they've played since AGIB came out? I'd say that's do-able.
