anodyne
I was approved for a full tank at the local station at 12 mos same-as-cash terms. check this out. in november of 01, gas was under a dollar in a lot of towns.http://www.vermontgasprices.com/retail_price_chart.aspx
mountain bed
The price here has nearly doubled just since the '04 elections.
anodyne
pj rourke was on bill mahr's show saying that stealing gas is even more expensive than buying it. mahr later said that only bush could have a war for oil and not get any.
Lammycat
I took out a second loan for a mortgage this a.m. to buy gas-o-line.
TCP
It cost me 100 dollars to put just over 3/4th of a tank in my pick up last week.
Calexico
All I can say is I am glad I can walk to and from work and never have to deal with traffic or gas prices.
anodyne
i drive a fuel-efficient vehicle (relatively anyway - one gets 38mpg, the other 34) and it's still a terrible bite to get gas. the craziest thing is that gas is a low margin item (from post-refinery to the pump), yet the megacorps are still making winfall profits. Reni
Graham rides his bike to work most days and I try and drive as little as possible. We only have one car. We may actually make it 3-4 weeks on one tank. It's been 2 weeks since our last fill up and it's at the half tank line. It's going to hit $4 here soon........it may already be that much in certain areas of the city.
anodyne
that's a funny graphic, but i don't think citgo belongs on there.

anodyne
i've been a strong proponent of chavez, but this move is so wrong and so bad.
Edie
Close to $50 to fill my Honda Accord -- and Kate, it's definitely over $4 for premium here in the city. I buy gas on the tollway -- one day a couple weeks ago, it went up $.15 in one day.
Reni
I don't ever think in terms pf premium gas - though, had I, I would have definitely guessed that it was over $4 for that type. they should add a bike lane on the tollways, yes?

Me neither -- I just noticed it was that high.... and I had that very same thought about bikes on the tollway!
jenbobblehead
being disabled and only 1.5 miles to the hospital means almost never buying gas now. which is kind of nice since i don't get a paycheck per se.
Reni
I have actually noticed a significant amount of more bike traffic out here in recent days....it's nice to see. Let's turn the Eisenhower into a big bike path!!
