yankhotelfox
As far as I know, this is the only track on any Wilco studio album yet to be performed live. Anybody have an idea why? It has a nice vibe. They are doing the other mellow tracks from SBS (What Light, SBS, YAMF, although Patient With Me seems to be reserved for solo shows) so I'm surprised Leave Me hasn't yet surfaced live, not even at a Jeff solo show. bböp
It's the Wishful Thinking of SBS.
Scalzunfield
It's the Wishful Thinking of SBS. Except for I like Wishful Thinking and wouldn't mind hearing it live again.
boywiththorninside
I don't know how it happened, but this is probably my favorite SBS song. I'd love to hear it next week.
WilcoFan
I would love to hear this song on Thursday as well. It's a great song and my favorite on SBS but is kind of herky jerky and awkward. It might not work in a live setting.
WaronWar
At first, I dislike the song, but it has grown on me like all of SBS has. I hope it gets played live, and I would think "Please Be Patient With Me" would be a great set opener because it would start off with Jeff and then each band member joins in on different parts within the song as it happens on the record. mpolak21
This is one of my favorites on the album as well, maybe as they start playing smaller venues they might mix in some of the quieter stuff on the album, they'll also hopefully be playing longer sets in the near future as well. --Mike
Smokestack Joe
i dont get the comparisions to Wishful Thinking ( other than it doesnt get played much live) maybe that is what you meant. but musically, i dont see many comparisons....
Scalzunfield
I dunno. I can't get into this song. I think it ranks somewhere below "It's Just That Simple" and slightly above "My Darling."
yankhotelfox
It's the Wishful Thinking of SBS. I saw Wishful Thinking last year at the Pines. It still stands as the last full band version. Maybe they'll break it out again Sunday.
Kalle
Yeah I saw it played at Massey last year. I was pleasantly suprised.
bleedorange
Allow me to join the chorus of those that haven't been able to get into this song. After listening to this album over the last couple of months, this is the one song that I'm always tempted to skip. It doesn't really seem to fit. It kind of stops the album dead in its tracks before it picks up again with "Walken." So, it isn't much of a surprise to me that it is the one song that hasn't been played yet. It's also a little frustrating, because "The Thanks I Get" is a far better song and would have worked great in that spot. This is all my opinion, of course.
winter party person
I think it ranks somewhere below "It's Just That Simple" and slightly above "My Darling." so your saying it's a great song?
yankhotelfox
Also at last year's Pines show was the last full band version of Far, Far Away. I hope this year is as special.
You Can Be The Stone
I have mixed feelings about the song; I think in terms of sequencing, it's probably the most natural bridge between the middle section to the final three songs; great lyrics, and great songwriting, but I thought it just had some very weak arrangements. welch79
At first, I dislike the song, but it has grown on me like all of SBS has... this song has begun to grow on me as well. at first, i didn't really like it either.
So Long
I really love this song. I hope it makes a live appearance eventually...
