Section 206, Row KK. Wow. I might as well have bought lawn seats at that rate. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow at the general onsale for better seats and if not, no biggie. My first Wilco show in Chicago since I moved here. Excited regardless.

I imagine 206 does not start over with Row A, so you are about row 40 - nothing wrong with that!

got two in section 202, row dd (this may be a stupid question, but are the double letter rows in front of or behind the single letter rows?)... then decided to try for a single to see if i could get any closer, and got one in section 102, row k. im gonna be stuck on an airplane at 10 tomorrow or i would have held out for better seats..meh, oh well

well, damn, was on exactly at 10, but after going through all the passwords, etc. it says I've got multiple accounts running, I guess because I got a message the first time saying something I don't even know what now, but anyway, wasn't able to get anything, wasn't looking for lawn seats.

You know, I really miss the old days before every f***ing person on the planet was looking for tickets! Sorry new fans! Well, I've seen Wilco once this year, guess that must be my limit........... It's easier now to get Rolling Stones or Bruce Springsteen tickets! WTF! Sorry for the rant people, but I hate TM and all the pre pre pre sales!

I got in. Section 101, row R.

Wow that was an interesting experience....i tried the jammail presale first right at 10:00, and i got section 101 tickets. The order did not go through, and when i got back in line, all i could get was lawn seats. So i then tried the WXRT presale, and i was able to get the seat that i did. I feel lucky that i got a second chance.

I just wondering aloud if they are gonna have better tickets available for the general sale tomorrow. I might try again then.

i ask again: hiow many reserved seats went on sale today, %age wise? How many will be left tomorrow?

I can't give you a percentage, but I'm guessing you'll still have a shot tomorrow at decent reserved seats. They stagger this kind of thing from what I remember...

Not sure if thats sarcasam, but yeah, I'd expect this to sell-out in less than 5 minutes.

I was really asking because I've never been to a Wilco show and have not live here for a few years, so I don't know what the shows at this venue are like.

Well this is only the second ticketed public rock concert at the pritzker pavilion (i believe), so there isn't much to compare it to, but I would be flabbergasted if it didn't sell out very quickly.

I can't wait to see what the poster for this show looks like!

edit. It looks like tickets are officially sold out for today because you cannot even go in to check anymore.

No worries, this show is gonna have HUGE demand not only because this is one of the first major rock concerts at this venue (this is the city's billion dollar baby) but even moreso because this will be Chicago's lone show for the Sky Blue Sky Summer Tour, supporting Wilco's most commerically released album to date. Hype has been surrounding this show ever since early rumors started popping up in Spring. People thought it was even too good to be true since Radiohead got denied in their request to play there. There is such a thing to overhype a particular concert, but this night will be special.

I bet just walking into the park will be way worse than The Decembierist. Yeah?

I didnt go to the Decemberists show, but from what I heard it was a mob scene, and probably would have been A LOT worse if not for the bad weather looming. This show will be somewhat different in that its actually a paid event, and they will have barriers or fences of some sort. That being said, yeah I'd expect the park to be pretty full that day.

Also, I'd be willing to bet they'll have a merch stand there, a poster has already been confirmed, and they might even do a venue shirt as well (hope)

The Decemberist had ever nook and craney of grass occupied by people. Not only that, but general people wandering around or hiding under trees from the rain. I bet people will come to just hear the show from the outside. What do you mean by venue shirt?
