This is what I've been spinning the most lately:

Scud Mountain Boys - Massachusetts / Richard Buckner - Dents and Shells

The Mommyheads - s/t / Grant Lee Phillips - Strangelet

Los Lobos - Kiko

The new Iron & Wine is working its way into that five, and I just put on Armchair Apocrypha for the first time in a while, and it's also knocking on the door.

I'm number 240-something on the wait list at the library for this. I've heard good things about her. It better be good or I'll... quickly return it to the library.

it's very good. that young woman has a whole lotta soul, IMO.

I can't post photos from work but this week it's been:

Okkervil River Black Sheep Boy/Black Sheep Boy Appendix

Tripping Daisy Jesus Hits Like The Atom Bomb (due to last week's repeated spins of The Fragile Army)

Rev. Gary Davis Harlem Street Singer (this one would make the list pretty much every week)

Mavis Staples We'll Never Turn Back

Easy Star All Stars Radiodread (I actually heard this album on the overhead speakers at Buffalo Exchange and asked the clerk about it - the Toots and the Maytals version of "Let Down" is brilliant)

Too lazy to link photos...this week I've been regularly spinning:

Jarvis Cocker - Jarvis

Blitzen Trapper - Wild Mountain Nation

Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga

White Stripes - Icky Thump

Elliott Smith - Figure 8

I finally discovered Jarvis' and Elliott's music (thanks bittorrent!) and am really thrilled by it.

(For some reason) I am going to Lollapalooza this weekend, and I'm really looking forward to her set on Sunday. Don't know how she'll be in the festival setting.
