So Long
Also, I was just thinking... here are a list of teams I still don't consider "real": -Columbus Blue Jackets-Carolina Hurricanes-Phoenix Coyotes -Minnesota Wild-New York Islanders yeah...doesn't matter how long these teams have been around...I just can't accept their existence. TCP
I agree with that list! Except not with The Wild. As much as I hate them, they are in the "state of hockey" and they've sold out every home game ever. I miss the Jets so much. I'm actually trying to find a Jets jersey. So Long
The Jets had class. As did the Whalers...god I miss the Whalers. A Bruins/Whalers game was so great, especially playoffs.

TCP
Dammit! We need a new WHA!!! Let's do this guys, a new Via Chicago project. Starting teams:Seattle Sonics (in tribute to their old basketball team)Portland Pandas (I'm not good at thinking names, we can change this after)Winnipeg Jets Deux Hartford Whalers DosHamilton Leaf EatersMaritime Acadians Someone lure Brett Hull out of retirement to join the league. markosis
I don't care that the Flyers won (although it is nice). The officiating is so fucking lopsided the referee and linesmen may as well be wearing Canadiens jerseys.

TCP
Yeah the officiating has been terrible in both rounds so far. Almost makes me feel like they're doing something like the basketball referees.
tongue-tied lightning
nice Pens win todayeven better that they almost got to punch out that weazel Avery at the end

markosis
you know, if the Habs make it to the finals I'm gonna fully believe the NHL is rigged.Ha, hell yes. Is it any coincidence that both Montreal's goals came on power plays?
TCP
you know, if the Habs make it to the finals I'm gonna fully believe the NHL is rigged.OR they could be the best team in the eastern conference... You guys are getting really bitter... They're the first seed in the east, they have one of the best goalies, they had the best power play of the regular season, and Kovalev is one of the elite forwards in the league. I told you that they would lose to Boston, in fact no one but Bruins fans thought Boston had any chance.
bobfrombob
San Jose has been impressive in these playoffs - NOT! Squeked by Calgary in 7 games and down to Dallas now too. I think it speaks a bit to parity and how tough the west is, but it also suggests that SJ is not as good as a lot of the pundits said.

Well...there is a third option: The Stars are good...very good
TCP
The west is just very, very, close. Especially the North West Division. The east has a lot of hot shot forwards but the west is ruled by elite goaltenders. So I think a lot of these things, such as the Sharks vs the Stars, just depend on how hot your goaltender currently is.
markosis
You guys are getting really bitter... Nah, we just get upset when people boo our country's national anthem and throw beer at our players in the penalty box.
TCP
Thumbs down to that!!!
Panther
Fuck! regarding habs loss in game 3 p.s markosis allot of people in Quebec have disdain for the country called America I find it funny cuz it never changes
TCP
It's a pretty commonly known fact that a lot of the world doesn't like America. Goes with the territory, I suppose. I think it's kind of immature to boo their anthem but it's not like American fans have never booed the Canadian anthem. Ob la di, ob la da.Anyways, this Rangers vs Penguins series is really really good. What a great match up. The Pens will be my 3rd back up, after Canucks, Flames, and Canadiens. I'm fairly sure I'm bad luck for any team.
So Long
wow...cushy bandwagon ya got there? Meanwhile, The Sharks continue to shoot themselves in the foot.
