oceanman
I thought about it long and hard, then brought it up w/ Amy and kind of got the feeling that I was pushing my boundries. An Aussie tour is on my to do list, but not this year.
IRememberDBoon
I thought about it long and hard, then brought it up w/ Amy and kind of got the feeling that I was pushing my boundries. An Aussie tour is on my to do list, but not this year. I just want to see them in the smallest venues possible and I want to do a multi night run. I think going there might be a good way to accomplish that
Wendy
Sight-see in the day, rock at night? Perfect! Do it!
yermom
You're not crazy. This is crazy.
Clouds of Fluff
Not crazy at all. If money were no object...I would go to Auckland just to see my two favorite artists in the span of a week (Wilco...and for Wendy's info, CH ...how fun would that be?! )...and get some serious Kiwi-esque sight seeing on in between gigs! Mr. Kinsley
The cool thing about seeing Wilco in Australia is that the set lists run backwards.

TheMaker
I can't even conceive of ever having enough money to do this, so my answer has to be yes, yes, yes, for fuck's sake, do not fucking hesitate, you only live once. There you go.
Edie
This is my dream also. I might be years before I could do it -- so go for it.
H.Stone
If you can afford, do it! People take trips all over the place to golf, gamble, lie in the sun.... why not take a trip for beautiful music?
whiskeygirl
If you can afford, do it! People take trips all over the place to golf, gamble, lie in the sun.... why not take a trip for beautiful music? what a great thing to say! i subscribe wholeheartedly to this sentiment - there's no better reason really do it! pillowy star
Go for it, but only if you're not pushing your finances. Being bankrupt after a trip to see a band is never a good idea Otherwise: Enjoy it, I would love to go to Auckland, it is amongst the top 3 of our "have to go there soon"-list
RaspberryJam
A friend of mine the other day was lamenting that her husband bought a painting (a beautiful one!) when what they really need is a new couch. I told her that I have never regretted a dime I have spent on travel or art, but there are plenty of regrettable couches out there.
miss jayne
1. No you are not. 2. People I know who have travel extensively feel NZ and Oz are the most beautiful locations in the world. 3. When in doubt always go for the tour. 4. What would DBoon do? 5. We all await your full report!
