the_fliz1
For what it is worth, Rolling Stone listed Spiders "Kidsmoke" as one of the top 50 songs over 7 minutes. I always take RS with a grain of salt but it seems like a pretty good list. They are listed in alphabetical order so it doesn't say where in the top 50 it is. Rolling Stones top 50 songs over 7 minutes long.
froggie
would have nice to have them by number rank instead of alphabetical and um, where did stairway to heaven go?
Bubs101
Well I think we can safely assume it wasn't number 1. Purple Rain or Blue Monday I presume were vying for it. Also, isn't Layla +7 mins?
chriscolbert
Also, isn't Layla +7 mins? It's on there. Check page two.
bjorn_skurj
would have nice to have them by number rank instead of alphabetical and um, where did stairway to heaven go?"When the Levee Breaks" is better than "Stairway," though I like "Stairway" a great deal. virtualreason
There should be more than one Sigur Ros songs on there. Untitled 8 anyone? That song is epic.

LouieB
Rolling Stone must have an entire department dedicated to stupid lists. LouieB
winter party person
they also chose KT as one of the 25 best live albums ever. http://www.rollingstone.com/photos/gallery.../photo/8/large/ RS might have some issues but at least they give Wilco their dues. the_fliz1
I just listened to the song "Oh, Comley" by Neutral Milk Hotel. I am floored. It is a beautiful song. I recommend that everybody listen to it.

WaronWar
No "Desolation Row"? Yeah, I feel that "Desolation Row" is a lot better than "Sad Eye Lady of the Lowlands." Moreover, while "Heroin" is a great song, I feel that "Sister Ray" should have been included.
So Long
I don't really care for Sister Ray. ...but that doesn't matter..

froggie
actually, forget Stairway - what happened to Achillies last stand?... 10 mins of pure power
Oil Can Boyd
Indeed. That one came up on shuffle yesterday and I forgot just how good it is.Me too! Seriously. But Elizabeth Reed and Can't You Hear Me Knocking are fine choices. And Dark Star should be on there.
quarter23cd
I had to click way too many times to see who was on this list. Five songs per page? Meh. I closed the window and I'm just going to assume the rest of the article just listed out the entire Grateful Dead and Allman Bros discographies. (and if it didn't, it should have)
Sir Stewart
As long as we're tossing in songs we think should be on there - P.S.Y. by the Butthole Surfers
