Duck-Billed Catechist
Her lead is shrinking a bit. It was at 2000 votes. Now it's below 1900. The exit poll showed Obama ahead by one percent, but that doesn't mean much--just means it will be close. Edit: Now it's over 2000. Gulp...

Duck-Billed Catechist
It seems statistically unlikely that there would be a big swing towards Obama at this point.

Chris_H_2
If Florida 2000 didn't convince people, perhaps this New Hampshire primary will convince people not to place so much emphasis and trust on polling data.
Duck-Billed Catechist
If Florida 2000 didn't convince people, perhaps this New Hampshire primary will convince people not to place so much emphasis and trust on polling data.Um, what did Florida 2000 prove? I thought all those polls showed a close race. It was the exit polls that were flawed.

John Smith
I agree. That's kind of my point. They didn't do much that was really conservative but instead screwed a lot of stuff up. True, they got a few conservative things passed, but they increased the size of government more often than not. It is not actually a conservative issue how they ran the government, though I fully believe that conservative fiscal policy does not work. Nope they were the republicna party doing what they wanted when they wanted to do it. They became so power crazed so quickly. Even back in the watergate days which I remember I can not think of a time when there was so much blatent corruption from one party. Couple that with the power crazed modus operandi and you have a recipie for the republicans to be completly bounced. Heck look how they are currently eating their own. Look how they treat Paul, the only true conservative running. Look how the party scoffs at the Huckster and he is running on what they have been calling for years their base. They no longer have anything to do with their so called guiding principles and only are concerned with their status quo. Their only hope for winning in November is if Hillary gets the nod. She will bring out the haters en masse. She is actually who they prefer to have run. They fear Obama and Edwards who are both far more electabel nationally than Hil. Oh well, I'm done now...no more from me.

John Smith
If Florida 2000 didn't convince people, perhaps this New Hampshire primary will convince people not to place so much emphasis and trust on polling data. Ohio 2004 was where the exit polling might have failed, but the FEC released areport showing that the polling may not have been so far off. Though it was issued way to late to have any effect.
