My thoroughly unscientific choices. I took about 2 minutes for that...

:lol Probably more time than I spent.

Two minutes for my picks, then another two formatting them in bold and/or red text.

I say way over for Tampa Bay. Here's my fearless prediction for '08 - they get the wildcard. You heard it here first!

Also, Dodgers will either be way, way over or way, way under. No middle ground this year; fourth place or World Series.

A scout for the Boston Red Sox accused of committing a lewd act in a hotel room that overlooked the pool where at least two teenage girls saw him was arrested Monday, police said Tuesday.

Jesse Levis, 39, faces two felony counts of committing lewd and lascivious acts in the precense of children less than 16.

Police and a U.S. Marshals task force arrested him at a Melbourne hotel after he was kicked out of the Springhill Suites in St. Lucie West where the incidents happened.

Levis, of Pennsylvania, is accused of committing the act on Sunday before hotel management was notified. Police identified Levis as a scout for the Boston Red Sox.

Matt Mantei may be the wild card there. With Zumaya out (although ahead of schedule in his rehab) until after midseason, Rodney injured, and Jones being Jones, the addition of a healthy(?) Mantei may be huge. Inge caught him in a bullpen session the other day and claimed his stuff was electric, the best he's seen in years.

Mantei was released today.

Did I make this up, or did I read somewhere TBS is going to broadcast teams other than the Braves this year?

That is true, but unless something has changed from this 2006 press release, it doesn't look like the coverage will be all that extensive.

Under the TBS agreement, TBS will telecast all regular season tie-breaker games, all Division Series games and the All-Star Game Selection Show each year. In addition, beginning in 2008, TBS will telecast a window of Major League Baseball games on 26 Sunday afternoons. TBS will continue to air Atlanta Braves' games through the 2007 season, a year in which that contract and the new deal will co-exist.

He should have probably kept his Levis on.

Goes to show that Inge, besides being a whiney bitch, is a poor judge of what constitutes electricity.

WASHINGTON -- President George W. Bush has been invited to throw out the first pitch on Opening Day, and Nationals president Stan Kasten said on Tuesday that Bush would attend "if he is at all able."

Should Bush attend, the team has a suite that was built to handle presidential visits.

When general manager Jim Bowden was shown the room, he was told it was the President's Suite, and mistakenly thought the room was Kasten's. Kasten laughed when he told the story to reporters, and clarified that his ballpark seats are not as nice as the other president's.

wow, that guy did a helluva job with the pre- and post-construction comparison shots from exact same spots. That's gonna be a nice ballpark to visit. The outer facade is interesting, with the sheet metal appointments on the outside, it's got a unique look.
