remphish1
Hypothetical situation I suppose. Assume you could see the bands (One time..it wouldn't be a tour) in lets say a club with a maximum capacity of 300 or so what is the most you would pay to see each band. Uncle Tupelo $150 Wilco $75 Jeff Solo $50 Son Volt $30 Jay Solo $25 Yep.... Any thoughts....
IRememberDBoon
Id pay 1000 to see UT easily.
remphish1
Id pay 1000 to see UT easily. Maybe we can get the to do the show for charity...between us we got $1150 and there is still room for another 298 people!
Lammycat
I probably wouldn't exceed $45-50 for any of them.

Lynch
To see Wilco or Jeff in an intimate setting like that I would pay $1000 in a heartbeat, no questions asked. Tupelo- $100 (but that's a tough call, how would it be with Jeff and Jay playing together again. Might pay alot more......)Son Volt- $50Jay- $
quarter23cd
I probably wouldn't exceed $45-50 for any of them.Yep. As it stands, the only ones (of the ones I've had the opportunity to see) I've paid for is up to $30ish for Wilco and I think probably around $10 for Son Volt when they were touring for Trace. I don't think I'd go much over those amounts. There was a time I would have paid a lot for a Tupelo show. Nowadays I'd give it about $10, which is probably back to about what it would have cost me back in the day. The circle of life continues...
IRememberDBoon
man you guys wouldnt want to see UT come out loud as hell playing those songs?? I think I would pay 5 grand seriously. I was too stuck up garcia's azz in the early 90s and Im still mad I knew nothing about UT and they played near me many many times.
MattZ
Is this a reunited UT show in 2008 or the proverbial trip back in a time machine?

I was way too much up UTs azz in the mid-90s, shortly after they broke up and I was pissed I never saw them together. Years later, to my ears, the UT material doesn't strike me as being as great as it once did. PS--If we're doing a back-in-time machine and I can pick the year, then Garcia definitely wins. cryptique
I've already paid several hundred dollars to see Tweedy solo (but the crowd was more like 30, not 300). As for the hypothetical 300-capacity club idea... Uncle Tupelo - $200Wilco - $100Jeff solo - $50Son Volt - $25Jay solo - $12.50 OK, I might pay a bit more to see Jay solo, but I wanted to keep up the pattern I'd established. I would instantly turn into little-kid-at-disneyland level of excitement.
TCP
I don't pay over 50 dollars to see concerts anymore. But for Uncle Tupelo I will make an exception. Uncle Tupelo - $51Wilco - $50Jeff - $50Son Volt - $0 Jay - $0 Wait, which Jay are we watching solo? I'd pay 15 dollars to see J.B. solo.

TCP
If it was Son Volt of 1995, then yeah, I'd pay. But I have absolutely no interest in watch 2008's Son Volt.
hardwood floor
Uncle Toop ... $1,500Jay solo ... $250wilco $125Farrar solo ... $100 if he plays Still Be Around, $50 otherwise (but i'm gonna see him solo in a couple weeks and it only cost $20)Son Volt ... $100 how about a gig where jay/SV plays a set, then jeff/wilco plays a set, then toop plays a set i'd freaking pay $5,000 for that and the bottle rockets open
Guest Jules
I would let Jay pay me to play in my living room.

Mr. Kinsley
2008 Son Volt * your face! Note: edited by admin Is that a good thing, a bad thing, or a sex thing? BTW - I don't know what dollar amount I'd go with, but UT would be tops simply due to the fact that they no longer exist and would have to not only reunite, but bury some very large hatchets before setting foot on stage. *? Really? Did you make that up?

MattZ
BTW Matt I saw Super Fury Animals last night in Hoboken and I was standing next to Ira from Yo La Tengo the whole night. Said "Hey" to him.... Man, that's awesome. Ira seems to be one of the most down to earth guys in the biz. Part of what endears me to YLT and him is that he strikes me as very similar to all of us -- an obsessed music fan.
