bböp
Wonder where in NYC he will play???? I'm guessing not at Fez, where I believe he played the first time he did the solo thing. RIP, Fez.
Mrs. Peel
I loved The Fez.
pnêyu
I'm guessing not at Fez, where I believe he played the first time he did the solo thing. According to Ticketmaster, it's two nights (4/16 and 4/17) at the Music Hall in Williamsburg. Also: 4/28 at the Music Box at the Fonda in Los Angeles.5/2 at the Showbox in Seattle

virtualreason
Wow, this fits nicely into the calendar, so long as profs don't go switching around exam days. What are his live shows like? I can't imagine the enjoyment of, say, a Tweedy show because, imo, Colin comes off as a prick.
Preferred B
My, how we've grown. I remember seeing him at tiny lil Iota. No kidding. I remember how he's never even played in Wisconsin solo and I've always had to go to Chicago to see him ... until now. By the way, reason #1,539 that I love the Pabst - they had a special early presale for people who had bought tickets to the canceled Long & Short of it tour. I scored a front row ticket. Actually the front row of the pit at the Pabst is a almost a little too close for a seated show, but I'm not going to complain. I've enjoyed both Colin solo shows I've seen. I got no prickish vibes. Mystik Spiral
imo, Colin comes off as a prick. I know several people who share this opinion. I honestly don't get it. To me, Colin seems to really love what he does and in my experience, he's always gone out of his way to make his live shows amazing. And it goes without saying that his studio stuff is also amazing. What is it about the prick factor that I am missing?
pnêyu
He did once scold me for not clapping along to a song, but I probably deserved it. Otherwise, I've always thought that he and the band go far above and beyond to bring the audience into their shows and make them feel at home.

Preferred B
How did you hear of the presale Bri? I never got any notice. They emailed me, I assume at the email address associated with the original ticket order. That's how I found out about Colin's tour in the first place.
