Ontario has it pretty easy, and I know I'm going to forget far too many.

The Band (partial).

Neil Young.

Broken Social Scene (and all affiliates).

The Acorn.

Bruce Cockburn.

Oscar Peterson.

Glen Gould.

Gordon Lightfoot.

Rush.

The Tragically Hip.

To be honest, I suck at history. That's Kim's forte.

You do know of The Band though right? If not, we've got to have an intervention, and quick. Just about as seminal as it gets.

Ryan Adams

Avett Brothers

Tift Merritt

For some reason your NC list made me think of Fetchin Bones (or maybe it was the mention of Galaxie 500 right below it). Whatever happened to that band, anyway? I'd love to track down their albums on CD.

The members of the dB's were all from NC, though I think they got together in New York.
