Semi-obscure honorable mention - "I Got By In Time", from the first LP. Great punk/soul tune. agreed.
Doug C
Thanks to you all for recognizing that I am trying to follow protocol and 'fit in'. Wilco couldn't ask for a better group of core posters. Serious fans like me feel right at home. Goodbye but I'll "still be around".

cryptique
^ ^ If that clapping jack-o-lantern thing two posts above were shouting "Casino Queen!" instead of "Bravo," it'd be the spitting image of the guy two rows behind me at the last show I went to. Right down to the sparks created by the impact of his hands.

Not neccesarily here, but elsewhere. I think there's a diverse group of folks around here and you shouldn't let the people who enjoy pushing buttons get to you. Maybe that's easier said than done, but really. Hang out and relax for a spell, maybe.

gogo
Some of you all seem to need PMs from a moderator.PMs were flying yesterday (and, will probably continue to do so today ). Do you really think you were the only one getting those? If anyone here needs monitoring, it isn't me. It is the smarmy, elitist jerks many of you appear to be.Wait, I thought I had the claim on "smarmy" around here. Who's trying to steal my act?!?
bobfrombob
I'd say: 1. But I

Doug C
PMs were flying yesterday (and, will probably continue to do so today ). Do you really think you were the only one getting those? I was referring to today's exchanges only! I would hope that you'd agree with my assessment of who, if anyone, needed moderating earlier today. Wait, I thought I had the claim on "smarmy" around here. Who's trying to steal my act?!? I stand by my statement. Some boarders, as I stated, appeared to me to be smarmy and elitist. Are people no longer allowed opinions basd on their experiences? I am not used to such a sophisticated quoting system!

I stand by my statement. Some boarders, as I stated, appeared to me to be smarmy and elitist. Are people no longer allowed opinions basd on their experiences?Well, I would have thought that part of my post was obviously a joke. Check out my member title. EL the Famous
Are people no longer allowed opinions basd on their experiences? sure, just as much people are allowed to have opinions (counter or otherwise) to yours and freely let you know that. you seem offput by the need for moderation of this board and yet, seem genuinely offput in the way some folks have responded to you, enough to make an issue of it. it's kind of confusing. But your response is much better than yesterday's in the rescheduled thread when i pointed out the errors and mentioned that you are not very good at debate. You must enjoy my posts since you often respond to them.

Gobias Industries
Oh, but you'd feel it. It'd damn well hurt, too. Unless you embraced The Jam. "May the Jam be with you."
Doug C
Not only are The Jam great but all things Paul Weller. The Style Council are also great, but in a different way. His solo stuff i don't care for as much. I like his ability to shift styles so well.
Wilco Worshipper
You know what? I tried to follow board protocol, be a decent guy, unlike some of you high post count folks, and not threadjack. After I hit submit it hit me that it wasn't the right place for it and knew that one of you nice, kind folks would point it out. Gee, thanks. The other board I mentioned also doesn't have different areas. there is only 1. I apologize. I am sincerely trying to follow the rules. Some of you all seem to need PMs from a moderator. I did not say that I didn't like moderators. I obviously can deal with it as evidenced by my actions. I am truly interested in it and am sharing different viewpoints in an INTERNET FORUM. I have never used profanities/obscenities or called anyone a truly derogatory name as many of you regulars have done and do. The only reason that you are giving me grief is because I stated an opinion on Wilco that you didn't agree with. Yes, I stated it several times for 2 resons: 1) because people kept responding and 2) because I was truly dumbfounded. I came here when the cancellation was announced because I assummed that the place would be full of dumbfounded fans just as surprised by Wilco as I was. I admit that I kept refining my logic on the foolish notion that someone would say, "Dude, that makes sense". That is messed up. If anyone here needs monitoring, it isn't me. It is the smarmy, elitist jerks many of you appear to be. "Dude, that makes sense". NOW, can we stop?!?
Doug C
I'd already stopped. You, like the others that respond, must have a masochistic streak because you seem to like the pain I apparently cause. Otherwise, you'd let it go.

Wild Rose, As Is Now and Stanley Road are all totally solid.
