Analogman
Legacy Recordings recently announced that it will release a special 30th anniversary, 2-disc edition of "Pacific Ocean Blue" on April 15, 2008. It will also include material from the Bambu sessions. A limited edition 180-gram vinyl multi-LP box set will also be released at the same time, on the Sundazed label. Due to the internet, I doubt there is really much unheard these days - officially unreleased yes, but not unheard.

Sweet Papa Crimbo
1. Prince - The Black Album (although this eventually got released)2. Misfits - 12 Hits From Hell3. World's Fastest Car s/t4. Beach Boys - Smile5. The Who - Lifehouse I can't actually think of anymore right now... Thought you might be up to some asshattery here...but since you are playing it (semi) straight, I'll play along: Bruce Springsteen --- The Ties That Bind (a late 79 version of what became The River) Dwight Twilley Band --- The B Album Neil Young --- Home Grown/Chrome Dreams. Although most of the material here eventually got released, the orignal versions in their original format and vision would have been great at the time) Prince --- Crystal Ball The Beatles --- Get Back The Rolling Stones --- Cocksucker Blues

Willkoman
Human Highway (1974) ~ CSNY. This was going to be the cover of the album. At the time they could all write and sing so who knows. It could have been pretty good.

Sweet Papa Crimbo
Smile was released in 2004. By Brian Wilson...effectively a recreation. The Beach Boys Smile Masters were mythically destroyed by Brian Wilson I wanna hear that Springsteen rap album he did! I think we got a good indication of what it was like on the fourth disc of Tracks
Analogman
The Beach Boys Smile Masters were mythically destroyed by Brian Wilson Not true
Sweet Papa Crimbo
Not true ergo the my use of the term 'mythically'
mpolak21
The Beach Boys versions of Smile are superior, I listen to the Purple Chick version and various bootlegs a lot more than the 2004 release. --Mike
