jmacomber68w
not that I dont like top 20s, but could we change it up, top 10s, top 5s even.... with less numbers to fill, think of the options for lists! (concept albums, acoustic cds, solo projects, side projects) anyways, here is list A1. remphish1
Any list that doesn't have Phil Collins "Serious Hits Live" is lacking in my opinon! Seriously though a great live album!
markosis
That's all I need to say. There's not a single live album that I've listened to nearly as much as Curtis/Live!. I actually can't think of another live album in my collection besides Rock of Ages, which is hit or miss for me. I don't generally like live albums. Curtis/Live! is so raw and beautiful. Its a welcome respite from the huge arrangements of his studio albums at that time.

Iron Maiden - Live After Death - they recently put out a DVD of that show - I could have been at that concert. I will add KISS Alive I - although, like many live albums of the day, a lot of it was re-recorded in the studio. I suppose my favorites are Made in Japan, and Live At Leeds. NightOfJoy
Believe it or not, the J. Geils Band, "Live, Full House" from '72 is a scorcher......nothing like their boring studio stuff.....this album makes it very clear they flourished in a live concert setting. I picked up a vinyl version of this album at an estate sale for a buck last summer, slapped it on the turntable and blammo, she's a keeper....... Judas Priest's "Unleashed in the East" is a timeless classic too. Seriously.

Lammycat
No love for Neil? Weld is a great live album and the Arc part of it is...is...um its there.I do like Neil. I just find the Arc/Weld albums excessive in the noise department and not very accessible. I don't think I've listened to them more than 3-4 times since they first came out. Just my take, of course. I recall Sonic Youth opening and most of the crowd was like...............huh, who's this?

I just don't get into the Arc/Weld stuff as a concept album(s) I guess.

NightOfJoy
Back when Arc/Weld came out, I used to freakout one of my little brothers with the 'noise' disc........I'd come home from the bars, pop it in and go to sleep listening to it, he'd wake up and say WTF is that?
