August 8th - Cary, NC - KOKA BOOTH AMPHITHEATRE

That definitely looks like an interesting venue.. Hmm.. Charleston one night, NC the next.. Very tempting... Definitely have to discuss this with my wife..

Thinking of attending Watch Me Fall?

Thinking about it, yep!

I would so be in NC! however it's right in the dates I can't take off. :ohwell :realmad :ermm

I can't do Charleston, can't do NC... I feel like crying :(

Sorry to hear that Maddie.. :(

I'd LOVE to go to both, but my wife is going to take a little convincing.. I'd like to go just for the venue alone.. The reviews on the website say "Felt like I was watching a concert in my backyard". It's about a 4 hour drive to Charleston for me, and then a four hour drive to Cary, NC from there.. We'll see.

It's all in the way you present it to her. You gotta make it sound like a vacation!

The venue does sound really cool, alot like the amphitheater in Raleigh where I saw Tweedy solo a couple of years ago. I looked on their website and saw that Duran Duran is playing there also!! :thumbup

Just found out about the new dates... I'm pretty excited for that Wilmington, DE show... the venue holds 1100 people!

Any word on when tickets or a presale might be for this date?

I live in Wilmington and the local word is that general ticket sales will begin on April 25th.

Here is the latest update from our local news source here in Wilmington:

Wilco is coming to The Grand, and tickets are going to be $35. But keep in mind, those tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 25, and are only available at The Grand or by phone.

If you think about it...it could be a good thing. If you line up early enough, you are guaranteed tickets since there are no other sources for tix that day except by phone. You don't have to worry about the on-line tix sales snatching them all up while your standing in line.

Sorry to those of you who don't live in the area...I know this does you no good!

I'm excited about this--it's only about 5-10 minutes from my house. And it's a nice venue.

Per Andrew Bird's website, he will be at All Points West Festival in New Jersey on Aug 8, so perhaps he won't be able to make this North Carolinia Wilco show.

Excellent. I may try for a ticket for the Wilmington show, too. I haven't decided yet. I wasn't going to, but then I realized that Wilmington is less than two hours from my parents' house.

8/12 - Wilco/Andrew Bird

8/13 - Radiohead/Grizzly Bear

A good two days.

Wow! "A good two days" is an understatement. To begin with, seeing Wilco and Radiohead back to back would be dream come true (hell, seeing them at all would be amazing, but back to back?!), but the opening acts alone would be an amazing two days.

Forgot to add the box office phone number, just in case you want to try and call for tix. 302-652-5577

I like that the headline over on WW is "Initial summer tour dates just announced." That suggests there are more to come.

Yes, the word 'initial' stood out to me too. :shifty They also seem to be coming to the west for Oregon and San Francisco, so hopefully, they stop in the desert.

Does anybody know if the band generally gets the ticket rights to the first two rows at the venues the play?

I was promised front row tickets to the Wilmington show from a connection I have at the venue...but was just told that I can not have them because the band has reserved the first two rows. Just curious if I am being told the truth or if I am being intentionally misled.

Thanks.
