Guest Cousin Tupelo
Thanks I got over it. A boy popping your bra strap isn't the worst thing that can happen to you.It is if he does it from the front.
Guest Cousin Tupelo
I can't believe this thread has gone 5 pages without "Jessica" by the Allman Brothers BandI can't believe this threat has gone 6 pages without "Lucille" by Little Richard (Pat Boone) -- then there's the Kenny Rodgers' version of Lucille. Kudos to the person that remembered Jenine by Soul Coughing.
Guest Speed Racer
One of my favorite songs from the last several years is My first exposure to Josh Ritter was under rather bizarre circumstances, including a 30-person acoustic concert in a living room - none of us had ever heard his music before. When he played Kathleen, I think *everyone* in the room fell in love with him, men included. The story is apparently "true," in the greatest sense that a folk song is true: he tacks on the ending he wanted to happen. After he finally cajoled her into his Volkswagen Rabbit (in the dead of Idaho winter) his car went careening down a hill into a snowbank, and he couldn't figure out how to get the car free. She ends up stopping a car and hooking up the chain to tow him out, and the secret only both of them knew was how he really biffed it that night. And then we really fell in love with him. Quite the gentleman, that Mr. Ritter. ********** My votes are "Kathleen," and "Visions of Johanna."

Gobias Industries
Did anyone ever mention "Michelle" by the Beatles? I'd be surprised if it wasn't, but I just remembered it and how it actually won the Beatles a Grammy or two... and The Beach Boys - "Help Me Rhonda"
