Doug
The insanely beautifiul "14 Cheerleader Coldfront" by the remarkably talented Guided by Voices. Also, GbV's "#2 in the Model Home Series," "Blimps Go 90," and "158 Years of Beautiful Sex." As far as band names go, there's Small 23, which became Small. There's some sort of Superchunk connection that I can't quite remember right now. They were a cool Chapel Hill band whose sound was very Archers of Loaf-ish and Superchunk-ish, and come to think of it, I'm pretty sure Superchunk's Chuck Garrison and Archers of Loaf's Eric Bachmann were in that band at some point. And let's not forget the underrated Saturnine 60, which became Saturnine. Their tune "Summer Was a Waste" is one of my all-time favorite songs.

bigshoulders
Band: The 1900's and on [myspace]They might very well appeal to members of this community. They are from Chicago. I've enjoyed their debut quite a bit. Kevin
