jenbobblehead
Rays have no one to throw out first pitch in first playoff game...?http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...8092303068.htmlGod can't do it? It is his team, after all?
mfwahl
I vote for Dock Ellis. He was coach and pitcher for the St Petersburg Pelicans (Rays wears their jerseys for throwbacks). He could do it on LSD and hit the first batter. And then the Rays could give the poor man a goddam liver.
Guest Jules
Sooooo anywho.... I head on Mike & Mike this morning that there is a possibility that if there are multiple rain-outs this weekend due to the impending noreaster, that the start of the playoffs could be delayed. I really hope this doesn't happen. I have tickets to next Thursday's game at Wrigley and I already have my plane tickets. That would totally screw me over. I can help you with those tickets if necessary.

Moe_Syzlak
I can help you with those tickets if necessary.Only if you vote Obama! Actually my brother is flying from Texas on SouthWest so he won't face much (any?) penalty to change his ticket. I'm on Frontier and would have to pay the difference in a ticket bought a week in advance and one bought same day or the day before. If I can't go, he'll bring a friend in Chicago. kimcatch22
I can help you with those tickets if necessary.Ask Brad about how his friend scored bleacher tickets for game 1 and he turned down an invitation. Go ahead. Oh, and did he suggest a girl he knows in Chicago who could take his place? NO.

PigSooie
Oh, and did he suggest a girl he knows in Chicago who could take his place? NO. Dude wanted someone to ride up there with him. You = in Chicago and not a candidate. Tough break!
EL the Famous
White Sox are going to blow it. hopefully. the only thing better than the cubs going to the postseason would be the sox crumbling and not.

mpolak21
I was there last night and Wednesday, easily the two most exciting baseball games I have ever been to. --Mike
uncool2pillow
The Twins can have letdowns after emotional highs like last night. Their celebration looked like the won the World Series. KC isn't going to roll over for us, unfortunately. Go Indians!!

bobbob1313
I love being the spoiler team. We do too! I'm usually not a fan of schadenfreude, but it would make this season cool if we kept the Mets out. Sorry Bjorn, Acres, and Mattz...
bjorn_skurj
Well, if the Mets had any kind of bullpen consistency at all, September would be garbage time in the NL East. I shudder to think how rich either the Mets or the Angels are going to make K-Rod.
MrRain422
Being the spoiler is a whole lot of fun, though if it comes down the Tigers and White Sox playing a make up game on Monday, I may be caught between the fun of being a spoiler, and the wrath of my girlfriend's family. uncool2pillow
Do either the Twins or the White Sox want the playoffs? Sure can't tell last 2 days. I blamed last night's Twins loss on coming off the emotional high of the White Sox sweep / hangovers from celebrating. But today? Jeez!
MrRain422
Went to the Injuns @ Sox game tonight. The Sox bullpen was disastrous. After an excited bottom of the 8th where they managed to get back into the game, the bullpen just totally gave up in the top of the 9th.
