Wendy
Love them both. If both these CDs were sitting on a table, most of the time I would pick up SBS. But BAITUSA still gets a spin now and then, compared to so many other CDs in my collection that just sit there unplayed for years. vs
lost highway
This kind of rhetoric is divisive and can only weaken the unity of the party.
mpolak21
Born Again In The USA is a wonderful album and one of my favorites from 2006, it gets the slight nod, though I do enjoy this hybrid playlist "Sky Blue Sky Again in the USA" I made a few months back. 1.) Hey Chicken2.) The Ruling Class3.) Answers to Your Questions4.) You Are My Face5.) Side With The Seeds6.) Stupid as The Sun7.) Please Be Patient With Me8.) Wanted9.) Leave Me Like You Found Me10.) uncool2pillow
I feel like I need a 3rd option. They're both great albums. I listen to SBS a lot more, but it really depends upon mood.

lost highway
Are you suggesting you have the studio recording of Let's Fight?
Guest Jules
neither Edit: both
TheMaker
If everything on BAITUSA were as strong as the first three and very last tracks, it'd get my vote. Alas, I'm tying this contest up with a vote for SBS.
MrRain422
BAITUSA and it's not even close.
southern hotel foxtrot
I wonder if we'll ever get another Loose Fur record again? i sure hope so...hell I wish one would come out before Wilco's next record!

Gobias Industries
SBS, because I don't have BAITUSA.
ScreenDoor_
baitusa would only be better because of an ecumnial matter (sp.)

sgtpepper64
Both of these albums have amazing closing tracks. On and On and On is easily one of the best Wilco songs, check that, songs in general ever written. And Wanted is so amazing. It's one of the most underrated songs I've ever come across. The lyric "She's not so well rounded, she has points you don't see" is fucking brilliant.
Kalle
The lyric "She's not so well rounded, she has points you don't see" is fucking brilliant. Totally agree, such an awesome line.
orchestra
BAITUSA and it's not even close. Yes. And I really really want a new Loose Fur record. Jim and Jeff are a great writing team and should be more prolific.
southern hotel foxtrot
BAITUSA is for sure a better album.... the songs on SBS are stronger, but Born just flows better...sounds more natural than SBS... I can't explain it, but when I listen to SBS now, I find myself playing the DVD versions of the songs (which are much better IMO
Moe_Syzlak
BAITUSA and it's not even close. Yes. And I really really want a new Loose Fur record. Jim and Jeff are a great writing team and should be more prolific. I concur with these fine gentlemen. Pretty Sparks is really the only song on BAitUSA that doesn't really grab me (although I like it). There is only one song I really love n SBS (and a few that I kinda like). WilcoFan
I see zero connection between these albums. In my opinion, BAIT USA is clever and artistic and SBS is mundane and frigid. I prefer BAIT USA.
spagett
Yeah a new Loose fur record cant come soon enough. Perhaps Nels will be apart of it if there ever is a new 1.
