TNR: Palin's final quote was from Ronald Reagan, warning that without vigilance, "you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children's children, what it once was like in America when men were free." In fact, Reagan was not warning about a general lack of vigilance about freedom, he was warning what would happen if Medicare was enacted.

Obama was the 1st black President of the Harvard Law Review & spent 12 years teaching Constitutional Law @ the University of Chicago.Twelve years.I just don't think this can be said enough. I trust O to protect our Constitution. This is one of the many reasons I am voting for him. The Mavericks will do what they want with our Constitution.

He didn't teach at Harvard, did he? He taught at University of Chicago Law School. But your point still stands.

How will he protect the Constitution from rulings like Roe v. Wade that create rights not defined in Constitution?

they don't have to be defined in the constitution as long as they're in the hearts of the justices.

To you & I this is extremely relevant. It also appears to be relevant to, say, 60% of America? Perhaps I am being generous, I dunno. The other 40%, if that is what it is, enjoy jumping to BillO's common reference to attorneys as the enemy.

note-this statement has been filtered through the 2 cereal box top decoder thingy

I'm thinking the court is in place to protect the constitution.

Interpret. And this greatly depends on the judge and his/her life perspective, which cannot be extracted from decisions.
