I just won't be satisfied until every beer known to man is available.

:usa I wholeheartedly concur with the distinguished gentleman from the great state of Arkansas. We will make this our cause (in the spirit of bipartisanship). :cheers

Clearly the beer here in Colorado can't be beat! Oskar Blues, O'Dells, Avery, New Belgium, Left hand, the list goes on...

Boulder Beer Co., Flying Dog...

I love Oskar Blues. Everybody needs to try Dale's Pale Ale.

Btw, I have no problem finding Bell's in Florida. Still haven't tried Oberon, though.

I've recently been introduced to Furthermore beer and it is by far my favorite beer of the moment.

It's brewed somewhere in northern wisconsin and its hard to find. Even in Milwaukee I can only find it in a couple liquor stores. But if you do see it grab the Fatty Boombalaty and enjoy the hell out of it

I don't drink nearly as much beer as I used to. I've been known to brew a few gallons before too.

Favorites:

Beamish Stout

Anchor Steam

Anchor Small Beer - Hard to find around here.

Blue Moon's Pale Moon Belgium style ale. I know, it's not authentic Belgium beer, but I don't care. it's darn good.

Rogue Dead Guy Ale - haven't gotten up the nerve to try the Double Dead Guy yet

Three Floyds' Alpha King Pale Ale - Best beer from Indiana. If you're in the Midwest, search it out. Well worth it.

Upland Wheat - best beer from Bloomington, Indiana. 2002 Great American Beer Festival Gold Metal Winner

I wish I could get Fat Tire, or any of the New Belgium beers, here in Indiana, but I can't. We can finally get Shiner Bock though.

My favorite beer season is here. I love the spiced winter seasonals.

I don't particularly care for Duvel, personally ... I find it really gassy.

I'm not a huge fan of Belgian beer in general, but i want to try Trappist Westvleteren 12 as many consider it the best beer on Earth. I'm pretty positive I will not concur, but I'd still like to try it. I'll try Rochefort 10 as a consolation though as Trappist Westvleteren 12 is supposedly very hard to find.

Those Rochefort beers are phenomenal.

Any of you southerners into Sweetwater? I've been dreaming about that stuff since I spent a few months in Atlanta two or three years ago. The best brewery tour in the history of brewery tours, too. They give you like 6 3/4 full pints for six dollars.

The 420 Pale Ale is amazing. Great balance of taste and drinkability (is this word now?). I try to drink as much as I can when I'm in ATL. Next time I'll have to hit up the brewery.

I had this when I visited a friend in ATL and remember it being really good. I wanted to try some of their other brews but they have those crazy Sunday drinking laws there.

  • 8 months later...

Yesterday my homebrew buddy and I made the trip up to Holland to check out the New Holland Brewing Pub. To make a long story short, we had no idea where we were going once we hit downtown Holland, but somehow after making a right-hand turn, going two blocks, and then turning left and going one block, we were there. My car must have an auto-pilot feature to great beer.

And speaking of great beer, while I was there, I had the barrel aged Mad Hatter IPA which was very good, tried the Rye Hatter, which wasn't quite to my liking, tasted the Vienna Lager, which was fantastic, sampled the Existential Ale, which was so good that I bought a growler to take on my canoe trip next week, and my buddy gave me a bottle out of his Dragon's Milk since I drove. I highly recommend that any serious beer drinker try the Dragon's Milk if they can find it . . . a high gravity, oak barrel aged stout that will blow your taste buds to Valhalla.

Perhaps therapy is in order. How could anyone not like beer? Maybe your just not doing it right. This really upsets me. How could anyone live without brews in their life? Your teaching your kids a horrible lesson. Try one. Be one of us. Do it for your health. Do it for VC. Do it for Obama.

I'm an IPA local brew chick. I down Boulevard, Goose Island, Samuel Adams, and all seasonal brew. Looking forward to that 12 pack special winter mix from Samuel Adams with the Winterfest in it.
