Sly like a Foxwell
damn , no where near me. missed em at one of my favorite venues a year or so ago because of an ice storm. i am still pissed
SarahC
i almost literally fell over when i found out they are playing at rhythm and brews. i plan on buying my ticket next week when i get paid. i will not miss that show for anything
Sly like a Foxwell
a friend of mine was able to make the show i missed, and he said it was the loudest thing he has ever experienced

Oil Can Boyd
a friend of mine was able to make the show i missed, and he said it was the loudest thing he has ever experiencedI was going to say, Dino Jr in a small club? Bring the ear plugs. I've only seent hem twice but they were both really really loud. I still think a Bob Mould solo band (post Husker Du, pre Sugar) show was the loudest show I have ever been to. Three dollars and 63 cents
I'm surprised there's no Northampton show--no Iron Horse or Pearl Street? I may be able to make the Lancaster show if it starts late enough, though it would be a stretch. J. Mascis's set at the Fender Jazzmaster anniversary show was the very loudest thing I've ever heard. Even with earplugs I only made it through the first few songs before I had to duck into a quieter room. Don't forget your earplugs!
Sir Stewart
Sat 04/04/09 South Burlington, VT Higher Ground Mon 04/06/09 Buffalo, NY The Town Ballroom I guess the 5th leaves a window for Northhampton. But shit, I want a Boston show. I missed out last tour because B (bless her soul) didn't actually buy tickets when she thought she did. We went to the venue and everything - gave her name at will call...it sucked. She must've not hit 'confirm' or whatever online.

I still think a Bob Mould solo band (post Husker Du, pre Sugar) show was the loudest show I have ever been to.I've seen both (Dino Jr in small club and an early Mould show) and yeah, it would be hard to say which was louder, but they were probably the two loudest shows I've ever endured. DawgSong
a friend of mine was able to make the show i missed, and he said it was the loudest thing he has ever experienced Sarah, you know I will be there for the show. My concern will be a tired body as I have the DEAD show inGreensboro, NC the night before. Also, for Sarah and any Chatt area peeps....tonight at Midtown Music is Hillbilly Casino, a band outtaNashville who fall into the rockibilly groove. These guys have been my favorite Nashville - Broadwayband for years. They have been one of house bands at Layla's Bluegrass Inn for many years. Trust me, thesecats put on one hellava show. Try and make it. Hillbilly Casino

Moss
Judas Priest - loudest concert ever for me. He would go into that banshee wail and my ears would actually just check out for a minute. Could not hear right for a week. And I was like 16 when my follicles were fresh. Would love to see Dinosaur Jr. It's the original line up right?

LouisvilleGreg
Holy smokes, I've missed seeing them many times over the years. And I loved the fuck out of "Beyond." That song "All I came To do," sounds like it could've fit nicely on "You're Living All Over Me." Toad's will be a great place to see them. Can't wait.
LenF
Too bad they are in NC while I'll be in New Orleans for JazzFest. Can't have everything but it would have been great to see them at the Neighborhood Theatre or the Orange Peel.
yermom
The Show in Fayetteville was nearly ruined for me by the presence of douchebag frat boys and their skeezy drunken girlfriend. I'm pretty sure they had no idea who the band was and were just there to get wasted and dance like they're "up in the club." Half of them were kicked out two songs into the opener's set. The night would have been a disappointment had they not closed with "Just Like Heaven." That redeemed the evening for me.

The night would have been a disappointment had they not closed with "Just Like Heaven." That redeemed the evening for me. Agreed on the crowd in Fayetteville. I don't know what it is about the crowds here, but it always seems to me like 50% of the people at every show either think they absolutely must hippie-twirl dance at all times.....or they are the typical frat boys who push their way to the front of the stage so they can continue their conversations at an even louder volume. I know that element exists everywhere, but I don't remember it being this bad in other places I have lived. With that said, though, Dinosar Jr were absolutely fantastic. Even though I own all of their albums, this was my first time seeing them live and they did not disappoint. J's guitar was even better than I expected, and I had high expectations!! And even though there have been some comments about their set list being too predictable, I was very pleased with the song choices since this was my first time seeing them. The free 7" is also extremely cool.....now I just have to get a record player!
dagwave
Great show in Lancaster, PA Friday night: Packed house, festive crowd, good and sweaty. Watt didn't disappoint with his crew: debuted lotsa new stuff, peppered with more Minutemen tunes than I've heard him play in the past. (toadies, anxious mo fo, cheerleaders, and a very very excellent version of The Glory of Man) J was having some preamp issues and Dinosaur Jr. didn't begin until about 10:45. Great sound great energy and the band represented their entire (early) catalog well- ( I think there was only one song (I Don't Wanna Go There) from the upcoming record. Lou sang lead on a fierce Back to your Heart, and also another song from their first record. all this fer 20 lousy bucks. woo hoo.
halftheworldaway
I have played Daniel Street in Milford CT about four times and it is a really small club, mainly just a bar where local bands play, holds about 200-300 people really good sound though
