bböp
I have to say this is kind of bizarre. How many people at the game are going to be like, 'Who?' (Then again, I guess most people who throw out first pitches are relatively random.)
bakerian08
i don't really follow baseball, but if i did I would probably pick the brewers as my favorite team.didn't Jeff do this for the cubs as well sometime last year?
Smokestack Joe
i think this is pretty cool. I'll be watching the game on TV but they dont usually televise the first pitch. maybe im wrong. Wonder if he will be wearing a Brewer uniform? Wilco in Milwaukee Monday to Wednesday, that is crazy.
Tanner
I've deemed April "Wilco Month" for me, so this yet just another treat. I planned on doing all my homework Monday night so I could attend the shows stress free, but this seems like a good excuse to make it out to Miller Park.
OOO
Jeff is a Cardinal's fan but will have thrown out pitches for the Cubs and the Brewers. I am sure someone who takes baseball more seriously than I will be appalled at this.

OOO
If I was asked to throw out a first pitch at a Mets game, I would do it. If I was asked to play an opening set for Son Volt, I'd probably do it.
andshewas
I might be calling into work tomorrow to go to the game. Or maybe I'll fake sick and leave early, since I only work a mile away from Miller Park. (Ooh!) I've really been aching for baseball, so does anyone have some good suggestions as to how to look/act sick enough to leave?
Preferred B
That's awesome! I hope they have their pictures taken with the racing sausages. Go Brew Crew! [quote name='bb

indy81
The person selected to throw out the first pitch also has the honor of singing take me out to the ballgame along with an interview given by Len and Bob during the bottom of the 7th. The pitch and the singing won't be compelling but the interviews Len and Bob have during the bottom of the seventh can be great at times - and other times painful. I'm guessing they'll be asking about the new album and upcoming tour - Len and Bob are huge rock & roll fans so this should be worth checking out. No. Brewers = Uecker. calvino
Does this make Wilco a Milwaukee band? I am really confused, now.
Preferred B
Maybe they'll sing "Roll Out the Barrel" too!

Which Wilco member should be which sausage? I say Jeff is the bratwurst.
KevinG
I would like to be the first to cry sell out. First he says he is a Cards fan, then a Cubs fan, and now throwing the first pitch for the brewers. Dude that is not cool. Milwaukee is not cool. Guess Jeff will be driving his Volkswagen to the park.

euthe
No. Brewers = Uecker. Oh yeah, duh. For some reason I thought the brewers and cubs had a series starting at wrigley tonight. Uecker's awesome though.
cryptique
OK, here's how I see the sausage race going down. Tweedy - bratwurstCline - hot dogKotche - Italian sausageSansone - chorizoStirratt - Polish sausageJorgensen - mettwurst (new variety just for Mikael) Glenn nips Jeff at the tape. Nels falls in the final turn, taking out Pat and Mikael. John jogs along behind, waving to the crowd.
euthe
Today may be the Cubs' home opener, but Wilco is in Milwaukee. D'oh!

Winston Legthigh
Nice! I lucked into some pretty sweet seats for this game - 2nd row behind the Brewer's dugout. I've got a good week+ of entertainment coming up. Brewers/Cards tonight, Wilco tomorrow and Wednesday. Killers in Vegas on Friday, Sir Paul on Sunday, then Neko Case the following Saturday.
