OOO
I like the new album, though I'm not sure I agree with all the publications that it's better than her debut. At any rate, she's playing a free show at Millenium Park that I will definitely be going to: http://www.millenniumpark.org/parkevents/event.aspx?id=
Shakespeare In The Alley
She is a gorgeous woman.

Moss
She's a good guitar player, and good lord she has huge eyes.
virtualreason
I'm in love with her and her music. The new album is just incredible; dense and dark all over. And a HUGE THANK YOU for posting about the Millennium Park show...now I think I'm going to have to go.
Tweedling
I really dig her. I think she is from Texas which makes her twice as sexy!
stooka
Thanks Tweed - after a few youtube vids, I now see what all the fuss is about.
jff
Gotta admit, despite an admittedly irrational aversion to this artist (stemming from excessive hype) I liked what I saw/heard on her Youtube clips. Now I even have to begrudgingly admit that Jackson Browne wrote a really great song once.
jff
I just got the latest Guitar Player magazine in the mail. There's a short article on St. Vincent. Interesting to learn that her uncle is Tuck Andress, from Tuck and Patti.
LouieB
I just got the latest Guitar Player magazine in the mail. There's a short article on St. Vincent. Interesting to learn that her uncle is Tuck Andress, from Tuck and Patti. The world is entirely too small.... LouieB
PopTodd
I've just been hearing talk about her.I heard a couple of :15 samples over at AllMusic, and I like them. But, obviously, that ain't gonna give me the whole story. I do know that she was in Glenn Branca's guitar orchestra (where Thurston Moore and Lee Renaldo met) and was also a part of Camera Obscura (right?). Tell me more, please. I'm intrigued. solace
Annie's great. i still prefer Marry Me to Actor, but both are worthy purchases but no she wasn't part of Camera Obscura, she toured as a guitarist for The Polyphonic Spree tho and also toured as a guitarist in Sufjan Stevens band

Sir Stewart
I really dig her. I think she is from Texas which makes her twice as sexy! Thanks for the link - nice to finally hear a real singer sing that song*.*I've never heard Jackson sing it
DAngerer09
I just started listening to her about a week ago. She is fantastic and I love both albums... not sure which one I like more. "Now Now" off of Marry Me may be may favorite song though.
solace
"Now Now" off of Marry Me may be may favorite song though. without a doubt my favorite song of hers. i'm a sucker for guitar harmonics
cuneyt81
I'm a big fan of both of her albums, but especially Actor. Amazing stuff. I like how dreamy it is, but still with lots of sinister, noisy sounds.
Al.Ducts
I had heard about her a little bit here and there and finally decided to check out the music. I think its wonderful. She is touring with Andrew Bird coming up now it appears (Check them out on Austin City Limits Oct. 28), who I am also a big fan of. Great guitarist, gorgeous vocals, and not to mention very beautiful . Oh, and she can play a mean Dig A Pony: http://liveweb.arte.tv/fr/video/St__Vincent_en_direct_de_la_Route_du_Rock/553/
bjorn_skurj
She was good on Conan or Letterman or one of those shows she was on at some point this past summer.
LouieB
I have listened to her album a couple times....it goes down smooth, but has very little to get me to come back to it. LouieB
Boots
I'm actually seeing her tonight opening for Andrew Bird at the Murat in Indy. I haven't checked out any of her albums, although I love the cover she did with the National
virtualreason
Big bump on this thread. The first taste of Strange Mercy came out today. I LOVE how deranged it sounds Strange Mercy
