calvino
Can you post the winning haiku? Thanks. That is a great prize.
Dude
Haha, no, I did not win the Haiku contest. This guitar was handed out on an earlier giveaway and the poor girl (a huge Wilco fan) needed the money right now to make ends meet, so she put this axe up on eBay. She needed the money, and I really needed the guitar, so it seems like the arrangement was in good standing. The guitar sounds wonderful, too. SGs are apparently known for having incredible sustain, and this is the kind of guitar you can play a note on, go out and order a pizza and come back and the note will still be ringing. I've played I'm Always in Love, She's a Jar, Spiders, ALTWYS, I'm a Wheel, Late Greats and Shouldn't Be Ashamed already on it. Lovely sound going through those humbuckers. Also the guitar is extremely light which is also new to me. Welcome to the wonderful world of the SG. Where have you been all my life? In other arenas, I've had the week from hell (work pressures, got my wisdom teeth pulled this weekend) so this is a much appreciated early Christmas present I bought for myself. cryptique
My old bandmate has a 1964 SG, and that thing sounds incredible. I've always loved the SG sound. Fun fact I learned from him: "SG" stands for "solid guitar."
SarahC
wow that is amazing!

lamradio
Nels also drew that little heart for the dot in the "I" when he signed my wife's ticket stub for a singers show. Maybe that's something he does for the ladies? Nice axe by the way.
Dude
Thanks everyone! Yeah, I think the little heart is Nels's thing when signing anything. For example: http://www.delawareonline.com/blogs/uploaded_images/100708-24ll.grandfund.rc008-748438.JPG It's pretty awesome how he signed right by the selector switch on mine. :guit
