2010 is first year without a Chicago show

Recommended Posts

from the recordings i've heard, they seem to be in a better mood when they're in a diffrent place for a change.

for example, i'd rather travel 20 minutes to visit a friend, rather than go to my next door neighbour's house

ps: why havent they played in Australia since May? :lol

They should do a secret show in Chicago. I dont live there, so I wouldnt get to see it, but that would be sweet. Find a small local club (100 capacity), pay all the bands on the bill a couple hundred bucks for their troubles, and rock out for the night.

Video stream it on the internet?

Reading the latest HQ email. It sunk in. This is the first year Wilco hasn't played Chicago Jan 1 - Dec 31 in their career.

That is a bummer. I wonder if they felt burned by the poor attendence at UIC night 2.

Que the "Chicago can't complain" "but all solo Wilcos played in 2010" "South Bend isn't that far" "they played in Oct of '09" emails

It is July

Dick,

I'm giving nalafej the benefit of the doubt. He wanted people to get in line and send quote-specific emails.

MMJ just announced a show here in Louisville, their hometown, it will be their first in over 2 years.

Greg...you neglected to mention the best part of this. The show is at the new KFC Yum (does it have an exclamation point? because it should!) Center. :pirate

But Chicago is, like, it's own Wilcocontinent.

Whenever I meet someone from Chicago, I say, "Hey, I love Wilco" cos I assume that everyone in Chicago loves Wilco. And every time, they look at me like I got 2 heads cos they've never heard of Wilco.

I do the same thing! And when they look at me weird I think, "You ungrateful bastard." :lol
